*** Update 06/29/2021 *** In my most recent order from here, we found several pieces of plastic coated cardboard baked into one of our cinnamon bagels. I suspect they were probably from an ingredient bag that wasn't cut open very carefully. In our order of 8 bagels, only 1 was affected so far. It was pretty disgusting, but the rest of the order is good so far. Hopefully this is just an isolated incident. *** Original Review *** Unfortunately had to leave a bad review for this branch on Skip the Dishes in order to get a refund for a missing item. I ordered the 8 Bagels & Cream Cheese deal and was missing one of the bagels upon delivery (the cheddar jalapeno, which I was really looking forward to trying). HOWEVER, what I did receive was awesome. The bagels are big and fresh and look like they have a lot of flavour mixed into the dough. The cream cheese tastes amazing and you get a decent amount. I'd say a little more than one of those short tubs of cream cheese you'd find in a supermarket. I also ordered a sausage, egg, and cheese breakfast sandwich on a spinach bagel and it was delicious. I was interested to try this bagel and I could really taste the spinach which really rounded out the flavour of the sandwich. The price is really on point here as well. It's $9.95 for a dozen whereas Tim Hortons is $9.99 for a dozen which is impressive considering the difference in quality. GCB bagels are about 25%-40% larger, they're way more fresh, and the herbs & other ingredients deliver way more flavour. I can't wait to go here in person after COVID.

Good customer service. Good selections of bagels. Fresh veggies / toppings. They were able to prepare food at a good pace, even in the lunch rush hour. They do microwave bacon. Toasted bagel tastes better. Premise is clean and inviting. A good place if you are looking for a bagel/sandwich. Not a lot of sauce options, traditional few options, but keeping it simple works well.

We had two bagel sandwiches, one with cream cheese and egg salad and the other with Turkey and Swiss cheese. Size of the sandwiches was generous, and both were delicious and fulfilling. The best 2-person meal for $15. The staff were also very friendly. Highly recommended!

WHY DOES NO ONE WEAR GLOVES?!?!

Seriously. 4 employees and no one is wearing gloves. I watch them handle cash, handle the skip order tablet, handle the microwave and opening containers from the fridge they’re pulling out and then watch them put tomato and lettuce and bacon on my bagel WITH NO GLOVES. None. Not one. They tried to use tongs but would then gently nudge my food on the bagel. They cut my bagel without gloves. I didn’t see them stop and wash their hands. Nope. Not a single one.

I was willing to let the order issue go - I had ordered it via Door Dash & 15 minutes later it says its prepared and I receive a text and say its ready and you go in and there is no order. They haven’t checked. You hear a girl say “Yeah, I heard it go off” and shrug. They apologize. They explain they’ve been busy all morning. Then, they start your order and... you witness all this. Do you even want your prepaid order now? No. You don’t.

Thanks for wasting my money and for making me absolutely sketched out. I feel this is a heavy health violation. Would not recommend.

Edit 2020: They now wash their hands thoroughly, but still no gloves which sketches me out as they touch so many other things back there at the same time. However, the bagels are absolutely delicious so I upgraded to 3 stars. I won’t have them prepare my food but I do order bagels to go and I’d...

What a wonderful opportunity to support a small business...and it is right beside a Tim Horton's at Commissioners and Wonderland.

I went in this morning with my 10-year-old son and he was treated like a rock star. We had a really nice conversation and the toasted cheddar bacon bagel with home made cream cheese was amazing and SO much better than any bagel you would get from Tim Horton's. We are going to make a habit of visiting this location because of the kindness we were shown and the quality of the food.

As a teacher, I recognize that I am very lucky during this pandemic, so we made sure to leave a big tip to both show our appreciation and because this is the time to help out smaller businesses. I hope others will do the same and I hope your experience at Great Canadian Bagel is as positive as ours was. Definitely very...
