My husband and I stopped in at Kelsey original roadhouse restaurant, ume never been to this restaurant. We ordered our food my husband a everything hamburger me the grilled chicken with balsamic sauce,we waited and waited we thought they forgot about us, finally received my plate it was cold. The waitress apologized for the delay stating they had to wait for my plate to be finished. Our waitress was prompt to nuke my dinner, not a good start. After my dinner was put through the microwave it sure was tough. The broccoli looked amazing until I tried it loaded with garlic, at no time did the waitress state the broccoli was prepared with way more garlic then I would consume in a week...I'll be flea free for month! The balsamic sauce tasted more like salad dressing, with the garlic broccoli wow it was a tough meal to get through. The so called mashed potatoes was a clump of formed potato that did not look appetizing at all, like a ball sitting on your plate. The flavors did not complement each other what so ever, the flavors were fighting against each other...
My husbands hamburger was room temp, fries were loaded with salt, that must be to get patrons to drink more, please state lightly salted if you have any salt restrictions. When we finished our plates they stayed on our table, felt bad that we stopped in we could of done better eating at home and clearing out empty dishes promptly when finished. No wow factor here, between the garlic burps and after taste of the balsamic sauce my stomach did like like the aftermath.
We tried, sorry next time we will rethink where we stop to eat. You should inform your customers of garlic on broccoli, not just overload the broccoli, they were cooked just right sad I couldn't finish them, everything tasted like garlic, then put balsamic sauce in with it. Not worth the...
Read moreWe left Kelsey’s around 10:15 tonight (last customers of the night) and probably will be our last time for the foreseeable future. I’ve attached a picture of how our wings came out. Very under-sauced and half of my husbands wings came out the wrong flavour and had to be fixed. Our wings were also over cooked and very crispy which made them dry.
On top of this, our server was extremely unpleasant to me- super passive aggressive. I want to say I respect servers a lot and really do not want to find fault with their service as much as I can, but this was something else. She treated my husband alright which is why I gave her 2 stars but I myself would give the service 0-1 star if I could. She refused me alcohol because even though I’m clearly over 19 and visibly married, she asked for my ID and I forgot it- which even though was frustrating I understood that because she asked and I didn’t have it, she didn’t serve me. However, the way she delivered the refusal was rude and she made a passive aggressive comment to me. When I pointed out that I understood her decision but I didn’t like the delivery and felt taken aback by it’s abrasiveness she half apologized but then not so quietly argued with me about it. Then she proceeded to give an annoyed look to my husband about it and walked away which was so disrespectful and rude. She then did the bare minimum for us and didn’t try to turn our experience around at all.
Overall, bad experience start to finish and will not be coming back...
Read moreSo, like a couple other people who wrote a review. My wife and I went here for Valentine's 2020. They had a birthday party scheduled that was around 50 people and took up one whole side of the restaurant. So they made their money either way, but the rest of the tables got completely ignored. We had the pleasure of being seated right beside the maitre'd desk and listening to the waitresses come and laugh and make jokes about how everyone was getting upset. Every tables order was wrong, incomplete and cold. People left, people yelled. It was a mess. My wife and I asked to be moved to a booth as we were trying to make the best of our Valentine's meal and we were getting tired of overhearing the staff make rude jokes about how upset everyone was. Our meal as well as everyone else's had substituted ingredients, cold, burnt. The waiter " John" was awesome and apologized continuously. The manger and head cook are obviously inept, useless. For a birthday party to be scheduled, means they were in no way blind sided by the fact the restaurant was going to be this busy. And senior staff cared very little about the problems as they new all too well they were making big money and tips on the other side of the dining room. Even laughing at people's frustration. Sad sad example of a Kelsey's they did give us 30 percent off our meal, but it was horrible experience not worth...
