To be honest I’m quite disappointed, especially there’re so many good reviews about this restaurant. Not to say they’re fake, but the quality has definitely gone bad as compared to 6-7 months ago (perhaps it’s because the ownership changed?). That’s why I have to give an updated review for others’ reference.
Overall, the price was ok (around $13). It’s even cheaper if you pay with cash. The place was also clean. But if you’re expecting quality siu laap/Cantonese barbecued food, you may get disappointed as I did.
So the rice with barbecued pork (char siu) and chicken came with soup (chi gua/fuzzy melon). Everything was served lukewarm or at room temperature. It only makes sense for the minced ginger and scallions, which I enjoyed.
Barbecued pork: The first few pieces were okay but others were just dry and tough. I think it wasn’t made with good cuts of pork and it wasn’t roasted long enough with adequate char siu sauce. Served at room temperature.
Chicken: The taste was good but the meat was not firm, like it had been heated in a sealed container for a long time. Served at room temperature.
Rice: Soggy and mushy, probably because it’s cooked and re-steamed with additional water. Slightly warmer than all other food. Soy sauce was not exactly the siu laap soy sauce but ok.
Vegetables were fine except one or two pieces were a bit undercooked. The soup tasted good but it was...

BBQ Pork (one pound, $11) This was the worst of the three but still decent. It had a tougher, chewier texture and a little less flavour. In terms of how it tasted, it was very similar to beef jerky. Rating: 7.6/10.
Roast Pork (one pound, $13) This was terrific. The owner told me to pour a dark sauce over it, which was sweet like hoisin sauce. Later, she exclaimed that she takes pride in the skin being super crispy. I responded with, “It is! And the meat melts in your mouth.” And there were no bones, making for a great snack to eat anywhere. Rating: 8.8/10.
BBQ Duck (half, $19.99) I enjoyed this almost as much as the roast pork. The difference: bones. This duck had bones practically in every piece. However, the flavour was just as good. I would describe it as savoury with somewhat crispy skin. I poured sweet plum sauce onto it, which worked well. Rating: 8.4/10.
Location Kings BBQ is on Adelaide St and Victoria St. Huron is a neighbouring street.
Overall Experience This is an excellent place to get authentic Chinese BBQ. The owner is expertly skilled at what she does and even explained to me some of the tricks...

2021 Review: Very good food, reasonable prices. London doesn't really have another Chinese BBQ take-out place, but this is very good. Not really a place you would sit down and eat, it is more suited to take out. The owners/employees always seem very happy when a customer comes in. They are super kind, happy to support.
I had the Roast Duck here and it was super moist and delicious. I will be...
