Mr.Sub — Restaurant in Ontario

The owner skimps and overcharges. I've been going here for years and I've noticed a trend. If I go in when the older gentleman with the moustache is working, who I believe is the owner, I get worse value for my money. My go-to sandwich is a super-sized pizza sub which according to every other location gets 4 pieces of cheese and 20 slices of meat. The owner at this location only puts 2 pieces of cheese and several times has put only 18 slices of meat. When called on it, he'll begrudingly add one more piece of cheese which is still less than the 'double cheese and meat' advertised by the super-size option. The pizza sub is also consider a classic sub on their menu, which should be $8.99 according to the sign on their door. Every employee gets this right, but the owner always charges the $9.39 menu price. Will the 40 cents break the bank? No, but it is deceitful.

It's still my favourite sub so I'll probably keep going but if I have the option for any other location besides this one, I will go out of my way to take it. And honestly...

Truthfully this is the best Mr. sub I’ve ever had. All the staff are extremely friendly and make you feel so welcome within their establishment. If I have any special requests I don’t feel as if I’m burdening them. The produce is always fresh and the bread is always hot coming out of the oven.

The store itself was impeccably clean, and the staff were incredibly polite and helpful. It's clear that they take great pride in maintaining a welcoming and professional environment for their customers.

The owner's knowledge and expertise were apparent as he took the time to understand my needs and provide me with tailored solutions. He went above and beyond to ensure that I left the store with a smile on my face and complete satisfaction with the service I received.

Well if you go in with one of the $8.29 coupons, don't expect to get what was advertised and you should do ok. After I explained that they missed charging me for one of the subs I ordered and I owed them more they went to town. First the brownie is a premium side, though when I asked what sides were included, brownie was in their list so my initial charge was 9.50 for the 8.29 special, then after some explaining on my part those are two different numbers we get to 8.79. At this point I realized my at least average understanding of English and minimal understanding of French wasn't going to affect the outcome and wanting to eat my food while it was still warm I just paid the extra 50 cents so I could just leave.
