Date: June 15th, 2021 Items Ordered: 2 Vanilla Cones Experience: I entered the Hyde Park McDonald's to place a take out order. No one was at the cashier. Moments later, a girl wearing glasses came to the cashier, but she ignored me completely. Another girl came and asked if I was there for a mobile order. I said I haven't placed an order yet. She asked, "What is the order?". Through a lot of confusion, displaying and refreshing the McDonald's App coupon, I was finally able to order 2 vanilla cones. A few minutes later, a male associate put one vanilla cone on the side of the tray and slammed the tray on the counter for me to pick up. He went back for another vanilla cone, put it in the center of the tray and slammed the tray on the counter again. The size of the first cone was not good, but acceptable. The size of the second cone was significantly smaller. From the picture, you can see that the base of the cookie cone wasn't properly covered. This makes it a half size vanilla cone. Summary: 1. Having a female staff on headphone roaming around the cashier, but ignoring customers at the counter creates a very bad in store experience. She should at least say or hand gesture that someone will be at the cashier shortly. Ignoring customers is just rude. 2. Someone well trained should be operating the ice cream dispenser. These differently sized, underfilled, crooked ice cream cones should not have been given to the customer. It's also bad that this staff slammed the tray on the counter for the ice cream cone to be picked up. 3. Employees here needs to be retrained to become more professional, courteous, and considerate.

Great food! However, I hate when you go through the Drive Thruand and they ask you to move up to the Reserved spot to wait for your food. The other day, a young lady said at the window, " Pull up to the Reserved ahead, your sandwich is going to take a couple of minutes. Thank youuuu." She then turned around and walked away from the window. I went to open my mouth to talk to her and, like I said she was gone. I didn't move. Don't assume that a customer is going to move right away, people! Be professional! It is apparent they are not teaching to establish eye contact when you talk to somebody, they just assume. A different young man came and asked me to move ahead that people were behind me. I said no, if you guys tell me there is a bit of a wait, I have the choice to order something else. He said that it was pretty standard to tell people to wait. I asked for the Manager and a young man, named Spencer, came to the window and he was even more rude. He told me that he would call the police because I took his picture and I said go ahead. I mean, It all depends on how you present the message. It is a freaking fast food restaurant! I took offence when they wouldn't apologize and responded rudely when I pointed out that I had the choice to order something else if they would have told me when I ordered. You pay in the first window, then you move to the second window where you are supposed to be handed the food. Don't tell me to wait! My time is valuable and it is why I went through the drive-thru. I rather you tell me at the first window or before I order and I would have the choice to order something else.

This location could use some work on communication and accuracy. First, the drive through line up sat at a stand still for 5 mins. This location has 2 ordering stations and I then sat and watched 3 cars order in the lane beside me before I was even acknowledged at the speaker. No apology was given for the delay. When I finally got to the pick up window I was told to wait further for my food. When I complained about the wait already, my food was either prepared incorrectly or purposely given to me wrong. I asked for a cheeseburger with only ketchup for my young daughter and was given a burger with all the toppings. Strangely, the onions were hidden under the burger and we did not notice when we removed all the other unwanted toppings. Thankfully this was not an allergy issue. After interacting with 4 different employees not a single person apologized for the delay. Just poor service all around on this day.

This was the very WORST service I have ever had!!! I went through drive-thru on July 25th at approximately 7 pm. There were 2 cars ahead of me in line. I ordered 2 big mac combos and 2 mcflurries. I drove up to the first window where I asked for a copy of my receipt. I was told I would get it at the next window. I pulled up to the next window. I was handed the drinks and mcflurries. I again asked for my receipt. I was told it would be in the bag. I was then told my fries weren't ready and I needed to pull ahead to the holding window. I said no, I wasn't going to do that. I would wait at this window for my order. The female at the window then yelled back "She's not going to pull up!" Another female came to the window and demanded that I pull ahead. I told her that I was going to continue to wait where I was because I have pulled ahead before and been forgotten about. She told me that my fries weren't ready and they take 3 minutes to make. From the time I had ordered to this point had already been over 2 minutes. I reiterated that I would be waiting at this window for my order. She then told me that she wouldn't be serving me and was going to refund my money. I stated again that I am simply waiting for my food. She said she wasn't going to argue with me. I told her I wasn't arguing, she was the one attempting to escalate the situation. She told me that the person behind me only ordered coffee and left. I watched as she began to pour coffee and pulled ahead out of courtesy for the car behind me. By the time their coffee was handed to them, my food was being served to me at the holding window. I went home and was going to let it be. Yes, the fries were hot but the burgers were cold and the receipt that I asked for on three separate occasions during my visit wasn't in the bag. My daughter and granddaughter who the food was for just kind of laughed it off. Then my granddaughter went to bite into her burger to find a hair in it! I immediately took a picture of it. It definitely didn't belong to any of us. It looked like the hair was intentionally placed on the burger! That was the final straw! I called the store to complain. I was initially speaking with a polite male who was apologetic and willing to send out coupons to replace the meal. Suddenly, the female who had a horrible attitude and even worse customer service during my store visit took the phone and started yelling at me. I requested the male manager who I had been speaking with. She told me that she was his superior so I would be speaking with her from here-on-out. I said that since I was filing a complaint against her, I didn't feel like she was the appropriate person to speak with and asked her name and corporate head office number. She gave her name as Mack but stated she didn't know her head office number. She claimed she would have her GM get in touch with me and she would be sending out coupons to replace the meals. Today is August 5th. I haven't received anything from the store yet...no coupons, no contact from the GM, no emails, no phone calls etc. After about 2 minutes on Google this morning, (less time than it takes to make fries apparently) I found corporate head office's number. Guess what Mack, you are NOT going to side step this extremely disgruntled customer! My complaint has been filed! You should have been much more professional in your dealings with me. You also should have followed through on the commitments you made to me almost 2 weeks ago! You continue to add insult to injury. Btw, I know it was YOUR hair in my...
