While the staff were somewhat pleasant (albeit seemingly insincere), the bread was burned nearly to black and contained toppings we didn’t ask for, and which one of us is allergic to. Basically, there were two of us ordering the same sub but with different toppings… and twice I tried to give my toppings first, while leaving my colleague to explain what he wanted separately, to avoid confusion. Despite my two attempts, the staff insisted on hearing both of our toppings selections at the same time. Immediately, the woman assembling the sub repeated back my toppings in incorrectly. This is why I tried to explain the subs one at a time. So, for a third time, we explained what we wanted, sat down, and waited for our subs.
To my colleague’s dismay, both subs contained green peppers, despite the fact that bell peppers are not listed as toppings on this particular sub, and despite the fact that they were not mentioned by the person assembling the food. We were asked about every other topping (cucumber, onion, mushrooms, etc) but no mention was made of the peppers. By the time we hit the road and later discovered that the sub was made incorrectly and burned, there was no point going back. Unfortunately, my colleague is allergic to green peppers so he could not eat the sub. As for me… I’ve been out of the country for two years and was really looking forward to Quiznos, only to be disappointed by a burned sub. This is why I prefer to watch what is going on behind the counter, but the setup here prevents me from doing so. Compartments are left open, with the doors blocking the customer’s view. I could have stopped her if I’d seen her reach for the peppers.
It’s not my job to second-guess my order and take it out of the bag to unwrap it and check it before I leave the store, then wrap it back up and leave. If this is how it should be now, then I won’t eat at Quiznos anymore. Quite frankly, the food should be made right the first time, especially when you have a customer standing there, explaining it to you in real time. Don’t block the process or ask me to go sit down; let me observe—the way we used to when Quiznos first started. I get that mistakes happen, but this was all preventable, on every level.
My advice to the store: please stop and listen when a customer wants to explain their requirements thoroughly and separately from the rest of the order, because allergies might be a factor; fix your oven because it’s charring the bread; and lastly, if you see that the bread is burned, kindly inform the customer that you’ll have to remake the sandwich so that we don’t drive away and discover it later. My feeling now—after two years away—is that Quiznos has gone downhill… but I’m hoping this is just a fluke occurrence because I’ve eaten here before and didn’t have...
Read moreThis place is horrible. My husband and I came into the store and ordered 2 6" subs and I got a glass of water and he got a small fountain drink. We were eating our meal for about 10 mins and the lady who did not serve us came up to my husband and said you did not pay for your drink, you need to pay now! We were both astonished with how it was handled because when we ordered with our original server we told him what we would like and he gave us the total we paid the bill and thought everything was good to go. Mind you $18 for 2 6" subs is way over priced in my opinion. If she wanted to know all she had to do was come and ask us instead of loudly accusing him of stealing juice infront of other customers. Apparently the server never put in the small fountain drink on the bill and the lady accused him of stealing juice while we are sitting in the restaurant eating a nice meal. Seriously this was the worst customer service I've ever received. They are racist here and I'd never come back! If I could give 0...
Read moreTerrible service. The older lady who works there (probably in her 40’s, black hair, ethnic) has no courtesy. She was so rude. I placed an order online for pickup, redeemed my pita and came to pick it up. The next day my sister wanted one and downloaded the app on her phone, and I went to pick it up for her. 2 separate people, 2 separate phones, 2 separate accounts. The lady called me out in the store (with other people watching) telling me I’m not allowed to redeem a code twice. Like what? My sister has an anxiety disorder and did not want to go into the store. So embarrassing being called out in front of other customers for something she didn’t even have the facts on. Reality check- you don’t own the app, and you have absolutely no say on how people get to use it. You need better training in customer service. I will never return, and hopefully others...
