Ordered our breakfast through the drive thru option, we were asked to pull up into the waiting area (not a problem). While waiting, an employee came to our window asking if the bag of food she had in her hand was our order, it wasn't (no big deal), and she then began searching for the owner of the bag of food. Where the problem is... The entire time she was in the parking lot with this bag of food asking waiting cars if this was their food, she had kitchen cooking gloves on. After she found the consumer who bought the food, she then went back inside the building (touching public door handles) WITH the gloves still on. I then walked inside to report her to the manager as this was disgusting (gloves should be taken off when leaving the kitchen, hands should be washed before walking back into the kitchen). I spoke with the manager “Ann” and I voiced my concerns with the break-in infection control; Ann clearly did not care, the look on her face was “are you really complaining to me about this”- I could feel how annoyed she was that I was talking to be about this. Ann replied and said “she never touches the food but I will talk to her about removing her gloves” . As soon as Ann said what she said, I saw the employee I was reporting grab two hashbrowns from under the heat lamp and put them in bags for consumers, I then pointed this out to Ann stating “look, she just handeled food with the same gloves she had on when she was outside and touched the outside door handle. Ann really didn't care. I then walked...
Read moreUsed to be pretty good pre-renovation. They more than halved the size of the dining area yet still the drive-thru is no better. I pulled in with one other person in the drive thru, and they made me pull ahead and wait for my order. Behind me i saw they did the same thing to the other person. So clearly being done to inflate their order completion times, this is prioritized over customer service clearly. The same lady who rang me up came out to hand my food, almost immediately after having pulled up into the waiting area, and same for the guy behind me. So why make us wait? Because they can mark the order as complete in their system sooner, which makes their reports to corporate look better.
This reno was not for customers or for service. It was to reduce staffing costs and service in the name of more profit. There used to be some very good hard working people there, now they struggle to make a wrap.
Bonus * a lady in front of me tried to order a coffee with her meal and the guy at the speaker said sorry we can't do coffee right now. Person replies, what's the issue? They had coffee grounds in the bottom of the pot he says. She said why not just make a new pot? Takes too long apparently. So she left instead,...
Read moreThis McDonald's location just recently underwent a renovation. It looks nice from first glance. However, the restaurant is freezing. Probably why it's always empty. The floors were filthy. Since it was empty, we figured we would eat in. Every table was dirty. There were a couple with garbage left behind. The only garbage receptacles at the front were overflowing.
Took awhile before anyone came up to take our order. The staff members were all seemingly chattering in a group in their native language. When our order was finally taken, the cashier struggled with understanding us, my husband ordered his fries upsized and paid for upsized, gets a medium. We watched people wait to be served and just finally walk out because they don't seem interested in serving anything but drive thru. So for a few extra fries i wasn't wasting my time waiting for them.
If they've got time to stand around and chat they have time to wipe down the tables. I know it's only a McDonald's, but Christ, the fast food industry has tanked in quality around here the last couple of...
