Mimi Gardens — Restaurant in Ontario

I am so underwhelmed and unhappy with the quality,portion size and the amount of meats/seafood in the dishes. I paid 70$ for what i ordered. The seafood/meat dish i ordered had 1 shrimp and my son spit it out he said 'Dad sorry that taste funny' and he LOVES seafood and isn't picky. The whole dish had no flavor... the beef and veggies were in some sort of goopy substance i threw it out. The fried noodles were horrible... the chicken balls should just be called bread balls. Half the plates were lukewarm but I do not understand why because they are 8 minutes away... I am not sure about all these good reviews. Maybe its just the delivery? Not sure but will never order from here again. It was 3 plates a box of breadballs 3 spring rolls and fried noodles.

We have been ordering for years and the food was always very good until tonight's delivery. The buttered chicken with rice had sooooo much pepper on it that you could not eat it. The other dish with shrimp used to have nice sized plump shrimp now they are small and an insult. I called to complain about the buttered chicken and asked that they deliver a new order without pepper. I was told I had to bring back the order I could not eat because they did not want to take the time to send a driver to my house. This has been my favorite restaurant since I was a child. My family and I go with a group of people about once a month from Detroit. It is always worth the wait at the tunnel. The food is so fresh, and well made, and the flavor combinations are impeccable! The owner is the nicest guy on the planet... it's a wonderful, family-owned (an run) place with the best Vietnamese food around. Try anything in the "Special Pepper" category, and make sure you get a noodle roll (their hoisen sauce that accompanies it haunts my dreams in a truly glorious way). You will not be...
