Sadly the worst supper we’ve had. Cold and Complete waste of our hard earned money. We ordered the Perch special and liver & onions. The perch was extremely overcooked making the fillets hard. The liver was like shoe leather and the onions were 4 strings not Rings!! and burnt. We ordered mashed potatoes with the liver but the plate arrived without potatoes only carrots and green beans. We had to get up and go find and ask our server about the potatoes and then he brought out a rectangular plate of mashed potatoes. You’re also to have soup or salad with the liver meal and veg soup was picked but it never came. We ended up telling the server to package a salad to go. Our entire meal was awful and cold. We waited 25 minutes after ordering to receive our food that was cold so it clearly had been sitting in the kitchen waiting to be served. HAVE YOU EVER ATE COLD LIVER AND GREEN BEANS and FRIES AND DEEP FRIED PERCH?? Disgusting. The only thing hot was this PLATTER of Mashed potatoes. When server finally came to ask if we wanted take out boxes because all the food still on our plates, we said absolutely NOT this food is disgusting and if you try to warm it in a microwave it would be even worse because it’s already hard & dried out. We told the server the entire supper was disgusting. We even had gravy and it was a cold thick blop in a bowl that you couldn’t use. He gave us our bill , no apologies for $55.00 of garbage. We’ll never come back and definitely will let ours know to avoid the restaurant. The table next to us were not satisfied with their meal either and boxed it all up. Read moreOn October 4, 2023 I made the mistake of treating myself to breakfast on my way to a forum. I ordered bacon, eggs, home fries, rye toast and coffee. The bacon looked like it have been in a war and was shell shocked. It was almost black and shriveled up and was hard as a rock. When I tried to bite into it I could not. For the cook to send this out to a customer is outrageous and shows an attitude that this cook does not care about the food that they prepare! The home fries were hostages that were released from a war camp. The rye toast was burnt and could not be eaten so again please talk to this cook as this never should have left the kitchen The waitress took the cost of bacon off my bill. I will never ever give my business to this place again as 2 strikes and you are out.
my rating is ZERO! I stopped in this morning to treat myself to breakfast. However, the older non-working chatting waitress had other ideas. There were 2 tables of people and I observed the other younger waitress working. The older waitress, let's call her Chatty O was chatting to a table right beside mine about some personal business. I stared at Chatty O for approximately 5 minutes but to no avail as her personal time was more important that serving me. So I got up to leave and Ms. O decided to walk over to my table. I held out my hand and said " I don't want to interrupt you" and left. I felt that even if I stayed Ms. O's work ethic was non-existent so I may have received my breakfast in 2 days. Long version: We are from Kitchener and wanted to eat before heading home. We chose this place and will never go back. There was unwelcoming, unprofessional staff that stood around the dining room, chatting and laughing loudly. This was definitely not the atmosphere we were looking for. The restaurant was almost empty on a Saturday afternoon which should have been a red flag but we liked the decor, which is it's only redeeming quality. We disliked everything we ordered except for the shrimp. The water tasted of chlorine, my salad was largely unprocessed (huge pieces of celery, lettuce, etc.) with a dressing that just tasted like mayonnaise. My daughter's milkshake was bland. Our waiter didn't offer us drinks but rather just brought us waters ten minutes after seating us. We eventually ordered a two-person BBQ platter and a shrimp appetizer and waited over an hour for our food. Everything was clearly frozen, cooked and over-seasoned with Montreal steak spice. The asparagus wasn't cooked at all, where other things were over-cooked, like the very thin piece of chicken. It was $130 for one meal and an appetizer, which is insane for the quality of service and food we received. We literally paid our bill and went elsewhere to enjoy a properly prepared meal.
