We were so disappointed by our experience here. We came as a family of 5 yesterday for Father's Day. We did get a reservation and got seated right away which was great, but it went downhill quickly. Our server was friendly enough, but it was clear that when something went wrong she would just say "sorry" and not seem overly concerned with it. By the third sorry, you would think something like "is there anything I can do to make your experience better?" would be asked but no, nothing. We were seated at a table for 10. Not sure why but not a big deal at the time. She did offer a booth but that was after we had been sitting a while and had settled in. We had 2 adults, our 6 year old, and twins in highchairs so moving seemed like a bad idea, lol. We ordered a starter and then the kids food and a few minutes later we ordered the adult meals. The starter came out and there were no issues. She then brought the kids food but never their milk. Our kids basically finished their meals before they got their milk and I had to ask for it. Even after asking it still took a while to come.
Even though the adult meals were ordered shortly after the kids food, ours took FOREVER and didn't come until our kids way past done eating. For anyone with kids you would know how much that sucks because your kids are super antsy and ready to leave and you're still waiting on your food. Certainly not enjoyable and we could tell our kids were ready to go. It had been an hour at this point too from being seated to starting to eat our food. To make it worse, my steak came out well done when I asked for medium rare. I'm not talking slightly overcooked, I'm talking it was so tough I could barely cut it with my steak knife and had to ask for it to be made again and I rarely complain about my food. I was so disappointed because not only did the food come late, I had to wait a while until I could even see our server again and then another 10 minutes or so until it was done. I was told the manager was going to personally bring it out and I was thinking great, s/he will likely ask about our experience and I can give some feedback. WRONG. She brought it out and that was basically it. Not once did she ask about our experience, so really I have no idea why she got involved. She literally set the plate down and maybe said something like "I heard your first one was overcooked, I hope this is better" or something, but left before I could even ask her anything. By this point, my fiance was basically done eating (I insisted that he eat and not wait for me because I didn't want his food to get cold and we were just ready to leave). Our server brought the kids desserts at this time, to keep them occupied, but kids and cookies don't last very long.
On top of all of this, we were seated directly below the HVAC system and the AC was on us the whole time. It was so strong it blew the hairs on our head a bit. Not a huge deal to start, but after 1.5 hours of that, our 6 year old was freezing and he and my fiance actually had to step outside and warm up because of it. I would have taken that booth had I clued in that we'd be there so long.
When we finished up and got our bill, our server didn't say anything at all about our experience, she just handed it to him. I could tell she felt awkward.
All in all, it was not a great experience. My steak, once cooked properly was okay and my fiances meal (ribs and shrimp) looked good. He said it was too. The kids food looked fine too but I didn't try it. The food being good was the reason I gave it 2 stars instead of 1. But to be fair, not even the greatest food can make the experience better when you're there for 1 hour and 45 minutes with very cranky kids who finished their food before you even get yours. We've been before and had a great experience, but this experience does NOT make me...
Read moreExcellent service. Server Jessica was more than excellent. I asked her opinion regarding a menu item (stating what I was concerned about) and received an answer which after ordering the item matched her description. She made sure to state her taste and style preferences in food before saying her opinion and said to make sure I took that into consideration. She was very efficient and approachable and showed she wanted to make our dinner enjoyable. I noticed she had the same attitude to any other tables I saw her at. When our dinners were brought to our table (by another server) my dinner partners drink was accidentally spilled. We frankly don't know if it was knocked over by my friends arm or the servers but the server immediately told us he'd get a replacement and retrieved napkins for us. We kept the remainder of the drink to finish off. Jessica came and asked about how we liked the dinner and noticed the different glass and realized the replacement drink was alcoholic and we had ordered non alcoholic. She immediately exchanged the drink for a non alcoholic one. We were very thankful since alcohol is a medical issue. Jessica was on top of everything happening at all the tables I saw her at while somehow managing to keep it informal and made everyone I saw her dealing with feel comfortable and made me feel my enjoying dinner was important to her. She seems to genuinely like people and manages to show that while being extremely efficient. There is a saying I believe describes her attitude. A stranger is just a friend I haven't met. This was our first time at Montana's and we plan to go again. We hope Jessica is our...
Read moreThe food was okay. However, I’m very disappointed with this location’s customer service and food quality. I will be taking it to the higher ups as what I experienced is something no one else should experience especially at a food chain restaurant. First of all, our server was Bella and she gives me a glass with beer stains or some form of brown stains on the inside of the glass. Once I told her politely to give me another glass with the drink, she had a LOT of attitude. It was interesting to see how she hit the glass on the bar counter as she was agitated to give me another glass.
Next, I ask her for Tabasco sauce and she brings me a bottle that is without a lid and looked very old. So I didn’t think anything much of this and accepted it. However, once I poured it on my plate, I see two DEAD FRUIT FLIES!! It was so disgusting that my appetite was ruined just seeing that. So I showed Bella and other than just saying a simple sorry, I needed to tell her what she can do to make it better. It should have been the other way around.
Finally, I found out that she didn’t tell her manager about the fruit fly and just gave me some hot sauce in a cup. When I saw the manager, he didn’t know anything about this and then went to throw the bottle out. I’d imagine the bottle wouldn’t have been thrown out if I didn’t inform the manager. To top it all, when it was time for payment, Bella looks at the terminal to see how much tip I’ll give. It felt very creepy and awkward! Overall, the service at this location was very disappointing and I will not be returning. Additionally, I’m on the edge about food safety if they leave sauce...
