This pizza was truly a work of art. The shaved headed man with the substandard arithmetic skills outdid himself this time. Typically, cheese has a smooth melted texture and mouthfeel; however, this pizza’s cheese was much more like a flavourful blast of sand which may sound distasteful, but actually added quite a tantalizing depth to the magnificently salacious culinary adventure I had sojourned this evening. Also, for transparency’s sake, if you happen to stumble across Joey Sabatini’s review, please ignore it. Granted, I’ve never met the man, but I’m fairly confident Joey of Sabatini’s Pizzeria and Hot Tubs (TM) attempted a hostile takeover of the Pie Guy’a pizzeria back in 2009 and has been up to the dastardly machinations of bankrupting every pizza joint in the tri-county area for the past decade.

Pizza was very pricey ( three medium for $80)and just okay. Some in our party found the pizza inedible. When we called we were told thin crust but it feels heavier . Folks in our party suggested it tasted uncooked. Maybe because there was a lot of cheese and sauce. The previous positive reviews were not experienced by our group. I have eaten a lot of pizza in NY, Italy, Montreal and Toronto. The pizza is not at that hype. Also, there is no formal receipt. The server indicated the price and gave me the credit card receipt (no break down of the pizza prices or the tax). This feels odd. We waited a bit longer for the pizza and there is no waiting area. You have to wait outside or in your car.

We are Toronto-nians who own a vacation property near Picton in Prince Edward County. Being foodies from the city, we didn’t expect to find much locally in terms of gourmet pizza. Pie Guy’s was an awesome and unexpected surprise! Hands-down this is the BEST pizza and pasta joint in town. Awesome pizzas, homemade wings and Cesar salad to rival any steakhouse; all made with real ingredients and prepared on-par or better than the best joints in Toronto. Super friendly service can be expected very time! PS don’t come to this place if your worried about your waste line but definitely come if you want awesome food!

Placed my order by walk-in. The female associate said she would call me when the pizza would be ready, about 25-30 mins after taking my name and number. I did not receive a call and returned back at 30 mins anyway and spoke to a man at the stove and gave my name. He said there is no "Jon" who placed an order. I am like what?? He spoke to the associate who took my order and she passed along my written order then while he friendly tapped her arm implying she should have given my order to him. She said it was her fault. I was puzzled, so she didn't give my order AT ALL?? I called out to them when they were in the back, "It is being made NOW?" He told me that it is going in the oven and will take 5 mins. I was disappointed and upset. We were hungry and in a hurry. This was an inconvenience. The simplest thing to do is when you place the order, it should go to the team who makes the order. Not forget! After 5 minutes I opened the door and he said it was in the oven and she said "2 minutes". Frustrated, I waited. After a few more minutes, I look and the pizza box is shoved in the front for my pick up with no one to give it to me. I open the door to pick it up, the associate has turned around not looking at me and I hear a "Thank You!" from the man from way in the back. Even he didn't come to the front. Are you kidding me? No one in person to close the order after horrible customer service of forgetting my order? So in total, it was about 45 minutes. Very inconvenient and bad service. I am never...

I had a bad experience at this place, I do not recommend it. We ordered a pizza for takeout by phone and right off the bat the guy on the phone was incredibly rude. He talked over me and didn’t let me ask any questions, sounded like he was in a rush and he even made fun of the way I placed my order. We were in town on vacation and couldn’t find seats at any other restaurant so this was the only option left for us for dinner and why we proceeded with the order at Pie Guy’s. Once the order was placed, he told me to come pick it up in 30 minutes. We arrived after 20 minutes and ended up waiting over an hour. Even got a phone call from the same rude man asking to confirm one of the toppings of my pizza again and told me to wait another 10 minutes. After 10 minutes we checked with him at the door and it was still not ready. It took well over 1 hour for our order to be ready. It was clear that they were busy and running behind on orders. From outside we could hear that the same rude guy was talking in a disrespectful tone to other customers. I think that if you’re in the service industry, you have to manage the stress of a busy night better. The way you treat customers matters! I’m never going back...

The pizza was really tasty - but the RIBS were a knock down delightful surprise. Huge, meaty, tender and delicious. Seriously, what the hell? This take-out joint is behind a gas station and fancy smoke-houses wish they had ribs this good. The bbq sauce lets the team down a bit - but I really like tomato-based sauces so the sweet tanginess was good for me. Okay, back to the pizza. Also delicious. They seem to broil the top of the pizza which gives it a strange texture but really brings out the big cheese flavour. The pizza is quite heavy & doughy - something I see a lot in Eastern Ontario, but delicious and I would 100% order here again (disclaimer - I prefer thinner crust pizza like North of Brooklyn (Toronto chain), New York or even Neapolitan style - this pizza is NOT that). The 2 guys I met when I picked up my order were great, too. By far the best pizza take-away I've had since moving to the area 2 years ago. (Atmosphere - 5 stars may not applicable, but the place was clean and smelled good and I was greeted and served with courtesy...
