Pita Pit — Restaurant in Ontario

I didn’t think it possible for a single pita pit location to break both our hearts, as well as the bank. Aside from this location being clean, I have nothing else positive to say. I ordered a small chicken shawarma and grilled halloumi sticks. First of all, the halloumi sticks were about $8 and although the advertisements displayed 5-6 cheese sticks I only received four, small, soggy, thin, slices. It was good flavour, it would be a challenge to ruin cheese. However, for approximately $2 per halloumi, I’m OUT. As for the shawarma, it should have been saved to display in the museum of worst shawarma in history. I have never had a shawarma with beansprouts and tzatziki and after this experience I would not recommend it. The minuscule amount of chicken was swimming in hot sauce and honestly I couldn’t taste much else. The texture was similar to angel hair pasta in a hot tub, but I would credit that to the bean sprouts. I don’t typically do “reviews”, however, I consider this to be more of a warning to future Pita...

Wow. What a terrible experience. Came in and immediately noticed the tables were dirty, not to mention the benches in the booths. Then noticed when I was ordering that there was garbage all over the floor in the food area. Yummy. Two girls working at 5 pm. One was too tired and working at a snails pace, backing everyone up and forcing everyone to wait an absurd length of time. Meanwhile the other couldn't wait to go home, as expressed to another customer that her shift was done in an hour and a half. She didn't seem to want to help the other girl make any food when there was a break at the till. As the pitas ahead of me were prepared finally the girl who took my order took it upon herself to rush through the process of making my Pita. The end result being a Pita that was literally split down the middle and not packed very well at all. Clearly these girls had no care for the service they were providing for the money they were taking from us customers.

Pita pit is usually great anywhere you go, this pita pit was no exception! The pitas were fantastic as usual. I am a chicken crave(without mushrooms) kind of guy! The only gripe i really have about this place, with the exception that it has an instutional feel(like any corporate location) is the lack of training. Now the girl may very well ha e been training or what not, and thats why service is 4star and not 0star. She did not put my pita on any kind of paper while she filled it with toppings and slid it all over the prep station. And although it was more than likely relatively clean, its no exception. You dont drag someones sandwich across a prep station or any station. So aside from that type of more or less common type of thing you can run into anywhere, it was pretty good once i made her remake my pita! So enjoy! Peace,...
