Hands down #1 place in town to eat! The pricing is fair for what you get and is so worth it! Always super friendly staff, the food is always super fresh, and honestly I can’t say enough about this restaurant. I have now even got my parents addicted to this place and none of my family and friends have ever got sick from this place. Only thing we ever got from this place was a super full belly, garlic breath for a day which just made us want more, and a sense of complete satisfaction!
Update: Not sure what’s been going on lately, but Pauly go back to your old sauce please. I always came to pita shack to enjoy the extremely garlicy garlic sauce. I loved having that taste in my mouth for hours after eating. You also changed the pickles change them back too please. Your food isn’t tasting the same anymore and it’s actually depressing me. You were one of my absolute favourite places to go for take out and now after three bad experiences me and my spouse don’t wanna go back again. Even he’s been extremely disappointed. Your garlicy garlic sauce is what you have always been know for and everyone has always loved it. Why change it 💔
Amazing service never changes still friendly staff just heart broke that something I loved so much changed and not...
Read moreCame to Pembroke to be with my Grandfather who was moved to Palliative Care. I left the hospital to get food for my mother and myself, and this place was recommended by another family member. I walked in an received the warmest and friendliest greeting from behind the counter. Not really knowing what I wanted, the kind gentleman gave me a recommendation and walked me through my order. He asked me how I was doing, and I explained the situation with my grandfather, he offered kind words of support and proceeded to finish his part of the order before I was moved down the counter. There I was greeted by very sweet Greek woman who overheard our conversation and she too, said very nice things. We continued chatting for a short while, and for a few short minutes, it completely took my mind off of what was going on. I got back to the hospital, and the food was fantastic. I had the beef gyro pita, my mother had the falafel wrap, and we shared a Greek salad. Not more needs to be said other than it was so delicious. I Will most certainly be back. I really appreciate the fantastic customer service and was delighted by the...
Read moreLet me just say—wow. I haven’t had Greek food this authentic since our family vacation to Greece five years ago. We stumbled into Pita Shack on a whim during a Saturday afternoon shopping trip in Pembroke, and I’m so glad we did. From the first bite, I was transported right back to that little taverna we loved in Nafplio.
I ordered the chicken souvlaki wrap, and it was absolutely bursting with flavour. The tzatziki was garlicky and fresh, the tomatoes were ripe, and the pita was warm and pillowy—just like in Greece. My husband got the gyro plate, and he couldn’t stop raving about how tender and well-seasoned the meat was. Even our picky teenager devoured her spanakopita and said, “This tastes like that place we went to by the beach in Greece.” High praise!
The staff were so friendly and warm, and the whole place has a cozy, family-run feel that just makes you want to linger. It’s clear they take pride in their food.
If you’ve been to Greece and are craving the real thing—or even if you’ve never been and want a taste of it—do yourself a favour and go to Pita Shack. It’s...
