Such a hidden gem in Pembroke. While planning our visit to Algonquin Park we found this little treasure while looking for a place for brunch. Absolutely worth the drive from Toronto to SOPA.
From the warm welcome by the lovely charming chef and staff to the homemade and stunningly delicious food, SOPA delivers an incredible dining experience. Being from Mauritius, SOPA brings such a unique cuisine which took us back to an adventure reminiscent of African and Portuguese culture. The menu concept is very special, interesting and a rare find. The pricing was really great for the quality and portion of food.
The food was so tempting that we tried all Tapas and we just loveddddd all of them! Best part is everything is made with love! The Piri-Piri chicken and Mashwi were just so yummy and melting in our mouth.
The place is vibrant with a personal touch of art which elevated the decor of the room.
Will definitely be driving back from Toronto to this hidden gem. Thank you again lady Chef, you are an amazing person with such charisma and extraordinary talent.
Highly recommend for yummy...
Read more✨ Just had a culinary dream SOPA ✨ Led by the incredible Chef Luiana Mendes Agua-Doce, every bite was a culinary masterpiece. We devoured the Chilean Seafood Empanada, Mushroom Empanada, Rissol Shrimp, Lamb Chamuca—and the Duck Sandwich stole my heart 💜. This gem of a restaurant is run by two of the sweetest, funniest, sassiest ladies you’ll ever meet. They make you feel like family from the moment you walk in. The service? Courteous, caring, and beyond thoughtful—they even went above and beyond to accommodate our gluten-friendly needs. Prices are super reasonable too! ⚡️ And the housemade popsicles? Absolutely must 🍡. I got so excited, I forgot to take food pics—but I did capture this adorable shot of two of the best ladies around—with THE BEST...
Read moreIncredible food, great service! Best way to describe this new gem is “FLAVOUR”! My family and I shared each of the sandwiches from the menu, we all agreed that we couldn’t choose a favourite because they were all so good! There is something at Sopa’s for those enjoying a bit of heat to those who prefer a milder dish which still packs flavour. I am not a a spicy food person but was still gobbling down the piri piri chicken. When heat is balanced with proper flavour it makes all the difference and is addicting. Luiana has found that balance. Everyone should try this new restaurant, it is a welcomed addition to...
