Read moreTonight, I treated myself. Literally. I went down to Oxford St and Wonderland Rd to eat Shraim’s Sweets. They are a competitor to Cherry's Desserts downtown and other dessert spots.
They have a menu covering different kinds of crepes (even fettuccine crepes and sushi crepes), waffles, pancakes bites, cheesecake and Japanese cheesecake, pan desserts like cookie pans and brownie pans, milkshakes, mojitos, smoothies and cocktails, coffee and hot chocolates, frappes and cold brew, fruit salads, ice cream, and sweets on a stick.
I started by asking about their Panda milkshake. This is made with the Hello Panda cookies by Meiji. I ordered it and was so, so glad that I did. As soon as the shake hit my tongue, I was in heaven.
A pistachio milkshake and Kanafa soon followed. Kanafa is an Arab dessert that has crispy pastry and sweet cheese soaked in syrup. It was a little creamier than my liking but still enjoyable.
I couldn’t leave without having cheesecake on a stick. It comes with either Lotus Biscoff or Oreo. I chose Lotus.
You can sit down and eat your treats inside, like I did. Keep in mind that there are only three tables, and there isn’t much room.
Shraim’s is a new kid on the block but is already legendary. Their business is gaining traction and will only...
Read moreI had to rate this a 1 to be honest! The tastes are AMAZING like hands down a 10/5 for taste! However that being said .. this place is known to be SLOW and it’s terrible it’s for that reason I rated them low. You’re literally waiting upwards to an hour for dessert. Poor staff are working as one person and they’re extremely busy!
I appreciate the owner connecting with me tonight about my concerns. My review stands as of now. A new way of processes should be considered. Great product just don’t have the logistics down pat yet. My main concern is the staff and what they have to go through being under such high pressure as I’m sure I’m not the only frustrated customer with regards to wait times. The explanation is understandable as to why the wait times occur however there’s solutions to the issues at hand currently that aren’t...
