Simon's Prime Hamburger — Restaurant in Ontario

Been going to this place for over 10 years, was one of my favorite places, but unfortunately I won't be coming back anymore. Saw the new location and wanted to try, but after getting my order wrong twice, having my order repeated to me 4 times (seemed like they understood), telling them I'm vegetarian, asking my partner to ask for me,... they gave me a beef burger instead of the portobello mushroom burger I originally asked for. This isn't about my diet but after failing to recieve the order I asked for multiple times I requested the first food refund I've ever asked for in my life. It was very loud too and made it next to impossible to hear the new trainee the staff failed to guide. (I didn't know she was in training until I saw my reciept) Why don't you support your staff so these miscommunications don't happen? It's probably very stressful for her. Its totally not her fault.

The other male staff were very rude, only trying to make his point & argue, while all I wanted was them to be understanding as well as find a compromise. I wasn't able eat my meal as it had meat and left it at the store untouched. He mentioned how I wasn't listening after denying my refund for the order but there was no fair compromise, which is why I left the store. He had already made his mind and only cared about being right about the menu. I cried on my way home because it was upsetting to not be heard. No compromise, not even an offer to remake. Went home hungry.

No matter how clear I tried to communicate nobody seemed to understand what menu item I wanted. I literally wished I could write my order on paper because nobody understood what I ordered.

I'm going to request a chargeback on my card! They ruined their reputation over refusing a 10 dollar refund. I won't be returning because of how dismissive the male staff were. Chose this place as my favorite go-to now that I live outside of town I went out of my way, I'm devastated at the shameless service. I visited this restaurant on Saturday the 16th at around 7pm. I am a very busy university student with 2 part time jobs which delayed my review. I am not the type of person to go and leave bad reviews but my experience at Simon's was just so terrible. I ordered Cajun fries (that's it), while I was waiting for my order I noticed 2 of the workers looking at my fries and chatting before handing them to me. I was given regular fries, so I asked for Cajun and the employee dumped the seasoning with no effort to spread it. As I was eating I noticed my fries were WAY over cooked, dry, and just terrible. I was with 3 friends and their orders of burgers and fries were perfect. My fries didn't even look like they were made at the same place. I went to the counter to try to explain the problem before I was interrupted by an older man that shouted at me "Whats the problem?!" so I repeated myself and he sarcastically replied "OH I'll get you more". What I was given were worm like fries just warm enough to the point that they were not frozen. They were so disgusting I had to throw them out and leave hungry. I am totally disgusted by the service and food I was given. On a positive note, Windsor is FINALLY getting a REAL 5GUYS restaurant so people can actually enjoy good service unlike what this wannabe eatery can offer! THANKS...

My comment is clear and justified. It is not a false accusation. I made the claim as it happened. I still have the order receipt from the day and time and was not even offered an apology in your response. 😓 I worked in the food industry as a supervisor for 9 years. Things happen that are out of our hands. Be accountable for the mistake and unsanitary outsourced product. I understand the impact of my statement. So you can either pass the message along to your bakery and make a formal complaint or you will continue to lose business or have a lawsuit if someone ends up seriously ILL.
