It is such a shame I had to edit this review, but what the owners do is unacceptable and cunning.
I have never had an issue with them until today. My mother and I just stopped by to pick up some roasted meats for dinner. My mother told the male working at the roast meat station that she only wanted a small portion of the sausage. The male muttered to himself smiling and stated “are you sure that’s enough for you?” Instead of giving us the small portion of sausage we wanted, he grabbed a brand new long sausage and chopped it up without us knowing. The wife even threw that box at the bottom of the bag hoping we wouldn’t figure out their trick. We didn’t find out until we paid after and noticed the small sausage we originally pointed to was still in the case.
The owners deliberately hide behind the little wall and grab bigger meats in the hopes you wouldn’t find out. This way, they can overcharge you. This is absolutely disgusting behavior as he knew very well what he did with the comment and with his wife placing the bag at the bottom of the bag.
I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant to anyone, but seeing as they are the only ones who sell roasted meats, I highly advise you to watch the male who grabs and cuts your meat before paying. Even if the wife tells you to come up to counter to pay, do not do so until the male is done grabbing and chopping everything up for you. Read moreI don’t normally leave bad reviews but today I feel compelled to share my terrible customer service experience or lack thereof (even for Chinese restaurant standards).
Let me preface that I am by no means expecting a five star experience. I have two young kids, and I was just simply looking for a quick lunch (we normally get the bbq pork/chicken/rice combination at the bbq counter).
I wasn’t greeted when I walked in bc it was really busy. Understandable. The lady was on the phone taking a large preorder, but didn’t look up once to tell me “just a few moments” or anything. The other lady behind the counter didn’t look or talk to me at all, she was just filling orders for the people ahead of me. I waited maybe 10min there for someone to at least acknowledge me there (meanwhile my crazy toddler is running around taking off her shoes and playing with the menus and my baby about to cry in her car seat).
I was pretty patient until they actually had the audacity to take the order of the lady that walked in 5 minutes behind me. And I’m pretty sure the lady on the phone hung up the big order and took another telephone order right after… instead of taking mine.
At this point I was beyond annoyed and left. You clearly see someone with two babies…. waiting around in front of your face. But you simply don’t care.

I used to go there for takeouts because they are probably the only one making BBQ taste right in Windsor, even though pork ears have hair, BBQ pork is fatty, and BBQ duck isn’t meaty. BUT I’ll never go back again because of service I had for few times. Server mixed my order and charged me the price of original order which is more pricy without apology; tried to pass a dish to my friend from a server, but got attitude instead; selective service (ate and observed for a while but didn’t ask every table how the food is or if there’s anything needed. Ok, it doesn’t have to be every table but shouldn’t it be few tables at least if they are busy? Are they getting tips for tables they serve? Well, even if so, my server didn’t care about us, but only 2 tables when there were almost 9 tables. If 4 servers are in charge of 9 tables, I don’t think my expectation is too high). This isn’t end of story, but long story short. To me service is as important as taste. I’ll probably cook myself in the future and pray for a good BBQ restaurant with better service...
