I want to caution anyone ordering takeaway from Royal Nawabs. On their opening day, they were offering biryani for under $1. I ordered a vegetarian biryani, but they gave me chicken biryani instead. The label mentioned “veg biryani,” and the box lid was marked with a “P,” which I assumed stood for paneer biryani. After tasting a piece, I realized it was chicken. When I called the restaurant, they replaced it with vegetarian biryani and offered only a simple apology.
This is not the first time I’ve had this experience. When the restaurant previously operated as Nawabs, I ordered paneer fry biryani but was served chicken fry biryani instead—by the very same server I recognized this time.
As someone who strictly follows a vegetarian diet for religious reasons, these mistakes have been very distressing. Because of this server, I have unintentionally eaten chicken twice. I will never return to this place, not even if they offer...
Read moreThe food and service were good, even though our server was quite new and still learning. Unfortunately, our experience was affected by poor timing. We visited on a weekend when the party hall was occupied by a large group.

The long wait caused us to lose our appetite, and we ended up canceling the main course. To make things worse, the noise from the party hall was overwhelming, making the wait even more unpleasant.
I hope the restaurant considers better staffing and some noise control from the party area, the overall experience could be...
Read moreRoyal Nawab’s in Windsor for the first time — and honestly, it was a good experience. The place has a nice, calm vibe. It’s clean, comfortable, and not too loud. I liked the setup — good for both solo and group meals. Parking was super easy, which is always a plus.
I went for a vegetarian meal this time. Ordered dessert Everything came fresh, hot, and tasted really good. Not too oily, not too bland just right. The veg biryani had a nice mix of spices, and the paneer was soft and flavourful.
The staff was friendly and made sure everything was okay without being over the top. Service was smooth and quick.
If you’re looking for Indian food in Windsor that’s well-balanced with good taste, clean ambience, and easy parking, Royal Nawab’s is an option.
