Look, if you seek good food, yes they have pretty good wings and burgers. And they do have specials on certain weekdays. Me and my friends were there exactly for Monday special burger. I have been there for several times and all had a great time that I even recommended this bar to my friends. But now it disappoints me very much and I won’t be here anymore. The main reason is that the wait time is forever and sometimes you will have a really bad experience. We wait there for like an hour to get our burger, which is made up with two buns , vegetable, and a meat patty. The only two things that will take time are meat patty and fries as a side but both of them should not be taking an hour to make. There were only two tables and some people sat at bar with a total of like 13 ppl including us, and you can’t make a burger to serve everyone within an hour. You might only have one cook but isn’t that you should be also considering hiring another one when you have a such large restaurant? When I asked for our burgers (40 mins later) the woman (possibly waitress) said it’s almost done and everyone’s waiting the same amount time (be patient is the hidden word). That’s not a proper reason to explain to customers. What, you gonna keep president wait for the same amount of time in front of KFC before he’s going to make big decisions? I’m not saying like who should be served first, it’s that your reason and attitude of responding to customers is so unprofessional and annoying. You could say I am sorry for your wait I will be checking with cook thank you for your patience (I am literally teaching you), for that I , and other customers, will feel better. It is you that need to improve your efficiency as a whole not keeping your customers wait eternally and say everyone’s waiting the same, so do you. Besides, we are Asians, and we can absolutely know how you treat us differently in an obvious way. It is not like we need very friendly attitude but there were a young man who greeted us in Chinese and that shows us an attitude for willing to talk to different people with kind and hospitality. For that, compared to your performance today, you have let us down. You could come to every table including us to say “Sorry for kept you waiting. Is there anything else I can get for you?” to assure everyone. Is this hard for you to do? Is that considered as high service standard that you need to be trained to do so? There are other places like you and servers were acted exactly what I just told you, and I gave tips for that. I am writing this because, even though only went for few times (and I gave tip), it was one of my favorite places during my study at Windsor and it disappointed me so much today and I will not be visiting there again. For all those who would like to try, value your time with their food quality. Because value of any food that takes an hour to serve depreciates. And you won’t be happy while spending that time unless you can enjoy the talk with your friends for...
Read moreThe wings are good and Jay the bartender provided excellent, professional service. However, I had multiple unprofessional interactions with another staff member (who I learned is the owner's daughter) that created an extremely uncomfortable dining experience.
She was immediately hostile during a routine ID check, incorrectly claiming 'everyone under 40 gets carded' (Ontario law actually requires carding those who appear under 25). Later, she made inappropriate comments suggesting I appeared to be 'on drugs' simply because I was winded from running to the restaurant.
The situation worsened when she attempted to claim my $11 payment sitting on the bar was automatically a 'tip,' arguing that any money placed on the bar belongs to staff. When I clarified that the $10 was for my drink and the $1 was her actual tip, she responded sarcastically and questioned why I preferred to pay cash instead of opening a tab - as if payment method isn't the customer's choice.
She also appeared to be eavesdropping on my separate conversation with a friend and falsely accused me of talking about her when she overheard the phrase 'personal preference' again, despite me only using those words once during our payment discussion.
This appeared to be a combination of poor training, attitude issues, and concerning behavior patterns rather than isolated incidents. Service quality varied dramatically depending on which staff member assisted. If I return for the wings, I'll be requesting to work with...
Read moreI went here with a small group of three and we waited over 10 minutes to be greeted by the staff. We placed an order for wings and waited over 1.5 hours for our order without the staff checking-in on us and providing any updates. I also witnessed two other tables leave in frustration before they got their order because of the same reasons listed above. The tables were also sticky and gross, they did not feel clean at all.
Once we got our food, the wings was serviceable but not worth the wait. I would not recommend coming here on a busy day as they do not seem to have enough personnel. Additionally, the staff do not care about providing quality service and food. We received a flat and room temperature coke and brought this to the attention of one of the staff members. They told us that “all our cokes are like that, even if I make another one it’ll be the same”. It would have been great if they apologized about the solution and tried to resolve the issue instead of trying...
