We often go here for burgers. I don’t know what they use in the patties but they are always delicious. We love that you can get any daily special after midnight. (Used to be 10 pm so take note if you weren’t aware of the change.) We usually share a poutine. Great fries. Big squeaky cheese curds and BBQ gravy that is slightly spicy(but still mild enough for someone like myself that can’t eat spicy food). They switched away from styrofoam containers and now use paper ones - which I like much better. They can get pretty busy around dinner time - so call ahead to place your order.

We ordered chicken tenders and a small poutine, and a taco dog and small fry. The hot dog is one of the smaller ones, not what you usually get at a chip stand but it tasted pretty good. We had to ask for condiments as none were out to use. The poutine gravy wasn’t terrible, or too salty. The chicken tenders were pretty good. The fries themselves could be cooked a couple minutes longer, but all in all, not a terrible experience

Cool location, next to an ice cream parlor & market. Service not as friendly as it could have been. We tried poutine with both gravies - original & dark. Tasted extremely similar, overly salted. Not an overly generous portion of cheese curds, but absolutely delicious curds (they’re St. Alberts). Wouldn’t be our first choice when there are better places nearby like Patate.

It's such a shame that five stars is the limit because this place truly deserves more. The food is surprisingly (but not surprisingly) fantastic, thanks to the owners' unwavering dedication to nutrition, our planet, and all things green. Their passion and love shine through in every bite. Fun fact: they've been in the grocery business for at least 3-4 generations, a few stores, the original still on Cumberland Street, (the '100 block,') just half a block south of Second St. West, another beautiful and heartbreakingly kind next-of-kin who owns and maintains the original McMillan's.

I'll never forget the time shortly after my husband passed on, I was robbed most of our life savings, I felt I had no choice but to go to the store, lower my standards (I recalled their decades' old sign, "no store credit" (I looked for it, but didn't see it); while asking the young man if he would be kind enough to let me borrow / oops: I 'think' he knew, I could tell by his look that he was probably going to turn me down but with utmost empathy, during the brief pause, I finished my sentence, "for my two cats." His eyes opened big and wide, interrupting me, "CATS?!!" gleefully pointing me in the right direction.

With their doors open 24 hours a day, every day, I feel like I'm back in Toronto, where you can visit a bank or pharmacy at 3 AM. The staff is incredible, I'm thoroughly impressed with each and every one of them; they all embody the spirit of the owners, Cyndi and Dave.

FYI: Cyndi was spelled like that before Cyndi Lauper's name gained its fame as a given name.

Despite being a small business, they're thriving, thanks in large part to the exceptional food, the welcoming atmosphere, and the outdoor patio with its charming picnic tables and umbrellas, perfectly distanced on a large corner lot, off from the kitchen. The kitchen is a real caboose, probably circa mid-1940s, sterile and well-preserved. It's truly out of this world! Plus, it's a one-stop shop for families, travelers, or the single guy out on a first date, so impressed that it won't be their last.

Whether you're craving treats, meals, ice cream, or dairy products, your furry friends' needs are also covered with a variety of meals and treats. If you forgot your money at home, there's access to an ATM machine inside the store. Who knows, if you've got a couple of dollars weighing you down, you might take a chance on winning $1 million from a vast array of scratch tickets or regular weekly lottery tickets.

If you're visiting from out-of-town and want to be wowed, be sure to swing by 35 Marlborough Street, corner of First Street East. They DO go the extra mile (peel real potatoes, use 100% real ground beef, real cheese ... there's nothing artificial about them or their food. It may go against their own grain, they are not braggart, but rather, the kind of people who don't talk about people, but who will also feed your mind with intellectual conversation, and actively reciprocate.

Wow, now they deliver at week's end, till 2 AM. Who could want...

Between the dollar Pogo and hot dog days, and their various amazingly huge juicy burgers this is by far the best food i have ever had in a restaurant and I did my training in Kelsey's!!

If your like me and you love burgers so much that unless it's perfect it isn't worth eating inferior patties, soggy veggies ect....You WON'T ever find that here. I in the past 2 years have not posted my review because I tasted my first Loose Caboose burger and it blew my mind it was amazing, heaven on earth, that day I decided to try one of each and now 2 years later, I am still working on it. I am just a couple short of having tried every burger with every combination of topping I can think of (i'm not rich and in fact so much so to the opposite a burger that is fresh made and cooked for me is a rare treat but one I look forward to much more now then ever before.)

I was going to wait to post till I had tried them all but it is not fair to you dear reader if you have not tried one yet, I could not live knowing my poor status robbed you of seeing that heaven does exist and for the time it takes you to eat the whole thing you will be transported to heaven, so run don't walk and for those I don't have a lot of cash, don't wanna cook either days check out the dollar specials they have on select days. And I promise a review with full list of each burger I tried along with my personal Yummy Meter rating scale so watch for it...till...

Loose Caboose, an old caboose turned into a charming chip stand, is a delightful find for food enthusiasts. This unique eatery not only boasts an inviting, nostalgic atmosphere but also serves up some of the best tacos and poutine in town.

The tacos at Loose Caboose are a standout feature. Each taco is packed with flavorful ingredients, from perfectly seasoned meats to fresh, crisp vegetables. The balance of flavors and textures makes every bite a treat.

Their poutine is equally impressive, with delicious fries smothered in rich, savory gravy and topped with cheese curds. The combination is both comforting and satisfying, capturing the essence of this classic Canadian dish.

In summary, Loose Caboose offers a delightful fusion of tasty tacos, indulgent poutine, and a unique appearance that’s well...
