Cornwall Square has certainly seen better days, and while the mall has declined in recent years, it still offers some worthwhile places to visit. The bookstore, food court vendors, and several other retailers continue to make the mall a pleasant place to browse.
It’s clear that a variety of factors have contributed to the loss of many stores, which has affected the overall experience. However, I do believe the mall still holds potential. With more variety and investment, Cornwall Square could see a real resurgence; especially given that many locals rely on it for their shopping needs and may not have the ability to travel to larger shopping centers like those in Ottawa.
To their credit, the management has taken some positive steps, including the renovation of the food court and efforts to introduce new ideas. While there is still much room for growth and improvement, these changes suggest a willingness to adapt and invest in the mall’s future.
I remain hopeful that Cornwall Square can continue moving in the right direction, and I wish the team behind it all the best in their efforts to revitalize this important...
Read moreOver the past year I have taken a Handi-transit to the square with my clients who are in a weel chair to shop and have lunch..we get there to find out the elevator is broken and we are stuck downstairs with no options to eat and no bathrooms also not much shopping to so downstairs.This is not acceptable and has happened 11 times now in the last year where we are stuck waiting 2 hours for our bus to pick us up and we are hungry..we cannot go anywhere else near to eat due to the sizes of there chairs they cannot fit threw the doors.very disappointing.I am tired of taking a chance going there and will not be bringing my clients there in the future.!They need to have a facebook page or website that we can check to see if the elevator...

Fast forward to today, and it seems online shopping has stolen its thunder. The newly revamped food court? A nice try, but it’s hardly the revival we hoped for. Urban Planet on the second floor is a glimmer of hope, but let's be real, it's not enough to breathe life back into this place. Watching the regulars sip on the same cup of coffee from open to close isn’t exactly energizing either. What this mall desperately needs is a grocery store to lure shoppers back in.
