4/5 A chic and elegant restaurant tucked around the corner on Elizabeth St in downtown Picton. It’s rare these days for establishments to play good music, however Theia’s playlist was nothing short of spectacular 👌🏽🎶 The ambiance was dark, yet cozy and had a very “French/bougie” feel. The open concept walls/garage doors are a nice touch on a summer night. Theia boasts an incredible wine list, however serves a very select few by the glass 🍷 A negroni should also have one large cube of ice - not 7 small cubes 😉 The food menu is more “bits and bites” as opposed to fulsome meals. We ordered the sourdough bread, beef carpaccio, and the cavatelli. Everything was extremely tasty and delicious and made with love 🩵 Being seated at the bar, we were able to see into part of the kitchen (or one of the kitchens rather, where small plates are prepped). I was a bit surprised that the female chef wasn’t wearing a hat, hair-net or gloves. She simply had her long black hair in a messy bun with no sanitary wear in place. I get this would perhaps take away from the ambiance/mood of this restaurant, however I think patrons would prefer precautions over a hair in their food 🫣 Would I dine here again? Most definitely. Lots of amazing things about Theia, but lots of potential as well. 💡 Pro tip: Be sure to make a reso if you’re dining on a Fri/Sat as they will surely book up.

My sister and I did a day-trip to Picton a couple of weeks ago and Theia? The absolute highlight of it. I've had it on my "restaurant wish list" for a while now and wow, it did not disappoint. The flavours... the quality of food... the atmosphere... the servers... just unreal. I've been to Michelin star restaurants and honestly? This was a better experience than any of them. Theia has something so special that I haven't felt from a restaurant in a while. The sense of community and home while also getting some of the best food you could ever get? Special. I also really appreciated the servers' knowledge on the drink selection. As someone who has recently stopped drinking alcohol, it's been hard to find a restaurant that can mimic that previous "I'll just have a glass of wine with dinner" feeling/experience. I know it may be a small thing to some people but having a server pour a small bit into a wine glass for you to taste while explaining the process + flavours behind a "wine"? It makes a big difference. I think that's what makes Theia so darn special. It's all the little things that have been thought of and considered. They come together and the unique experience they give you is something that keeps you wanting to come back for more. I'll be back Theia! :)

I absolutely loved my evening at Theia. We initially had a reso elsewhere, but when we strolled past this place we KNEW we had to try it. The atmosphere, music, service, wine selection, and FOOD were all outstanding. The service was so friendly and fun that you really feel welcomed and taken care of. It really brings you into the atmosphere in a way that you don't often find at restaurants serving this quality food and drinks. Also, the tunes were amazing (i even followed the spotify playlist!!!) but not too loud. I could groove while not needing to yell and lean to participate in conversation. A RARITY these days. If you're in the area and looking for great natty wines, good vibes, and incredible food, you NEED to stop here.

I recently attempted to book dinner at Theia. We had a large group of nine people and we wanted to dine there on the long weekend, so we knew we had to book as far in advance as possible. We reached out six weeks ahead of time, and Myles confirmed they had space available. In our email, we also mentioned that members of our group had dietary restrictions, which he said he could accommodate. He even offered to send us our prix-fixe menu ahead of time. There was no indication that any further information was needed from our end.

For the next month, we followed up with Myles repeatedly, asking for updates on our menu. If he replied at all, he provided no further information. Finally, he agreed to a call to discuss the menu, where he primarily expressed concern about our dietary restrictions and balked at the fact that we were a bachelorette group. Nonetheless, he promised to send a menu the next day once he received further confirmation of the dietary restrictions in our group.

Two days later (and two days before our reservation), having still not received a menu, we again followed up. Myles emailed us back to say that the only space available for a group of our size was on the patio and asked if we “wanted him to reserve it.” We were disappointed because the ambiance of the restaurant interior was a big part of our choice to book there. We were also very confused because, as far as we knew, we had already reserved a table more than a month prior! On top of that, it was supposed to be rainy and cold on the day of our (non) reservation—not great patio weather.

We ended up finding another restaurant in the area that had space for us. We never received any apology from Myles or anyone else from Theia, nor any acknowledgement that there was clearly an error on their end.

We tried at every juncture to be as respectful as possible, but I have never received such poor customer service from a restaurant in my life. I’m sure the food at Theia is delicious, but unfortunately, I didn’t get a...

THEIA’S CULINARY MAGIC AND EXCEPTIONAL DINING EXPERIENCE Our family of three recently had an unforgettable dining experience at Theia restaurant in Prince Edward County. From the moment we walked in, the relaxed and welcoming vibe put us at ease, setting the tone for a fantastic evening. The food at Theia was the true star of the night—innovative, fresh, and downright delicious. The restaurant's commitment to using homegrown veggies and locally sourced meats shines through in every dish, delivering vibrant, seasonal flavours that you can’t help but savour. The chefs are clearly passionate about quality ingredients, and it shows. The service was not just impressive but also enlightening, with staff who not only knew the menu inside out but also shared their knowledge and enthusiasm with us, making us feel valued and respected, and the dining experience all the more enjoyable. Theia also offers a carefully selected wine list that beautifully complements its menu. Whether you're a seasoned wine lover or simply in the mood for a great glass, there's something for everyone. In a town brimming with fantastic restaurants, Theia truly shines as a hidden gem that lives up to its reputation. This is the place to be if you're after a dining experience that brings together exceptional food, a cosy ambience, attentive service, and a standout wine selection. And I must mention that the Charred Cabbage in Tamari Sauce with Cumin and Coriander was a revelation. I never imagined cabbage could taste so good—I’m still thinking about it! I’m already looking forward to my next visit to Theia and eager to indulge in its culinary delights again. The thought of returning to this exceptional place is truly exciting and I can't wait to experience it again. This place truly...

Our multigenerational family had the pleasure of dining at Theia restaurant recently. We had an exceptional experience. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with a relaxed and welcoming vibe that immediately put us at ease.

The highlight of the evening was undoubtedly the food. Theia's commitment to using homegrown tomatoes and root veggies and locally-sourced meats adds a distinctive and delightful twist to every bite. The flavors were fresh, vibrant, and bursting with seasonal goodness. It's evident that the chefs here are passionate about quality ingredients.

The service was equally impressive. The staff was not only attentive but also knowledgeable about the menu and wine pairings. They guided us through the offerings with genuine enthusiasm, making the dining experience all the more enjoyable.

Speaking of wine, Theia boasts a well-curated wine list that perfectly complements the menu. Whether you're a wine connoisseur or just someone looking to enjoy a good glass, you'll find something to suit your taste.

In a town with more than its share of great restaurants, Theia restaurant is a hidden gem that deserves all the praise it receives. If you want a dining experience that combines exceptional food, a warm atmosphere, knowledgeable service, and a stellar wine selection, look no further. I can't wait to return to Theia to sample their culinary delights again. This place truly...
