🔥 Honest Review: The Chicken Was Fire, But the Service? Yikes.
If you’ve ever walked into a fast food place expecting the usual and walked out shaking your head—welcome to my most recent experience. I swung by this Wendy’s thinking it’d be a quick, satisfying pit stop. And in some ways, it was… but let me break it down for you, because this visit was a rollercoaster.
Let’s start on a high note: the food. I don’t know what kind of secret magic they put in that blue cheese pecan chicken salad, but wow—it SLAPS every single time. Juicy chicken, crunchy pecans, and that tangy blue cheese all just work. It’s actually one of my favorite fast food salads, hands down. Weirdly specific, I know, but if you’ve had it, you get it.
Since that was my only meal of the day (yes, life gets hectic), I decided to treat myself and add a side of chili with sour cream and crackers—a cozy, hearty addition I was genuinely looking forward to. So far, so good, right?
Well… this is where the wheels started to come off.
When I went to the counter to pick up my order, I noticed the chili and its glorious toppings were missing. I get it—mistakes happen, especially when it’s busy or the self-check kiosk acts up. No big deal. I politely mentioned it, expecting a quick fix. What I didn’t expect was a full-on attitude avalanche from the cashier.
Now listen—I don’t say this lightly—but this woman was straight-up rude. No “I’m sorry,” no “Let me check on that for you,” not even a neutral acknowledgment. Just straight defensiveness, like I was trying to hustle her for a freebie or something. But here’s the kicker: she was training someone. Yup. This woman, with all her condescending energy and eye-rolling, was the example for a new hire. The poor guy looked like he wanted the floor to swallow him. He even gave me an apologetic glance, like he felt bad on her behalf.
That moment told me everything I needed to know about this location’s priorities.
I’ve worked in customer service. I know it’s tough. But treating customers like they’re a burden—especially over a small issue that was likely the system’s fault—is just bad business. Period.
Needless to say, I won’t be returning to this particular Wendy’s. The food deserves better representation than what I experienced at the counter. Whoever’s running this spot: please do better. Your new hires and loyal customers deserve kindness—not condescension.

Read moreWow Wendy’s! You out did yourself today! Stopped into Wendy’s Belleville for some lunch as we were on the road. This location was amazing all around. I used the mobile app to order, easy and great deals. Selected dine in and our first impression is clean, bright, open. We picked a table and watched the order monitor (visible from the entire seated area) and waited for our order. Very organized. I made my way to the front after a couple mins and the employee let me know it was all ready for me. Very friendly, all the workers inside looked happy and working well together. Way to go to them and who ever is running this place. Our food was hot, delicious and the best part was the soda fountain machine was a time warp of selections. And I mean selections. So many options. I have to stop giving money to the other larger fast food chain out of convenience and go to Wendy’s more. The quality and price is far better...
Read moreI spoke once before about Wendy's especially the new Wendy's on Sydney Street in Bellville Ontario. They need a manager in there to make sure orders are done correctly. Second of all when there is a mistake made on an order don't feel like the manager does. I put in a complaint that I got the wrong order. The drive-thru cashier did not put the receipt in the bag. Then it took the manager 45 minutes to check and see on the computer if there was an order the night before for my order. Then she decided to replace the burger in the fries. She didn't even have the decency to throw in the drink. It didn't matter to me about the drink what matters to me is about poor customer service in the management skills area. You have managers in position that shouldn't be there. Is exactly like in a hospital where senior employees have been there too long and do not know how to treat customers or patients which are similar in a...
