Previously I wrote a review about my disappointments at Eggsquis in Belleville which we frequently have our weekly breakfast. I'd like to give a postive review from our more resent experiences. Not long after writing my review, I got a response back from the owner George who apologized for our bad experience, he offered us the opportunity to come back and give them another try. We waited a bit as we weren't sure but glad that we did. We are pleased to say, the last couple of times we have gone back to the restaurant we've been very pleased with the staff and food. The Waiting staff is much more attentive and the food has improved, we have the same order everytime so I can only comment on the bacon & eggs and eggs Benedict, which I love. The fruit is always fresh and hollandaise sauce is delicious and we always get our eggs and bacon the way we like, good size portions and the price is fair. We recommend you give this restaurant a try if you haven't already or if your just travelling through Belleville. It's a very busy restaurant but it's well worth the wait. Thank you George for giving us the opportunity to come back and see the improvements while having a more positive experience.
Saturday March 12 2022 we decided we would try something different and we are glad we did. Just look at this delicious food we had today. Come by and try them out you wont be...
Read moreGreat breakfast option in Belleville. We were here for a Girls Trip and this was clearly a popular option through online search. We came around 10:30AM on a Sunday which was the perfect time - there was a line for the majority of the time we were seated.
The menu was a bit overwhelming, but that's typical with brunch places. The majority of our group ordered some sort of eggs combo, while I tried the club sandwich (as I didn't check the time and thought it was lunch). The portions are sizable and great value for the price. Most of the combos come with sides, and I'd definitely recommend the potatoes, which are perfectly fried and crispy. My club sandwich was tasty and a great portion, but I found the chicken to be a big tough. What I didn't enjoy was the Caesar salad - it was extremely saucy and the dressing was very strong. I'm a big fan of sour things but this was a bit too much for me, which was disappointing because the portion was great and there was a lot of bacon as well. The rest of the table enjoyed their meal.
The service was good for how busy it was, we were very surprised as to how quickly the food was brought out. My bill ended up being around $30, which included the club sandwich and...
Read moreTreat your bus girl better. I watched her fix a table, clean and set the cutlery. Another waitstaff took one settings to shortcut her job and then another lady called the bus girl over to tell her to set the table and gave her a hard time for forgetting a setting which she did not but didn't argue, just did it. Watching older women that clearly belittle others in a restaurant job is disgusting. Go back to school if you want to matter, running your mouth at your student staff is weak and only poor management allows this. The beans were old and had a crusty layer on them which indicates your prep is overboard and lacks hygienic care. My toast was cold and the butter was not melted which tells me you're needing better organization and timing. The fruit was fermenting and the plates were way too large leaving the impression that there was less food on my plate,. Ham was cheap processed thinly sliced and so was the bacon. My eggs were cooked perfect and the sausage was very pleasant. The waitstaff was extremely friendly most were very well presented with one being very well groomed which almost made it hard to eat, which is not a complaint.. the food wasn't that great but the service more than...
