Wendy's — Restaurant in Ontario

I had gone lastnight to PICK UP MY MOBILE ORDER thru drive thru, once in the drive thru behind about 5 cars, I literally waited nearly 15 minutes total IN THE DRIVE THRU but after 10 I put myself in park and we still hadn't moved at all, next thing you know I see those behind me reversing out and leaving because I mean Jesus why is the wait so long. So I myself put my reverse lights on and they let me out then I proceeded to head inside to grab my food, and I mentioned to the people inside talking away and laughing with eachother, (the person making the sandwiches goes I need help please and then says btw I am done in 6 minutes) anyways i said that I was literally tired of waiting in the drive thru so I had came in to pick up my order (mind you there was no one even ordering at the counter when I went in) the cashier girl had so much attitude at first and I could tell she was "talking shit" to the other employees and i myself have worked in this kind of industry and know that's a BIG NO. Especially when the customer is right there. So I proceed to tell her that I didn't appreciate the fact she was talking whatever rught infront of me so that I could basically hear and that I just wanted my food. She proceeded to try a d get loud with me but I for one don't out up with it PERIOD. And I asked for the manager and told the manager her cashier girl had the worst attitude I've ever seen towards a customer. They had made my order within 5 minutes of me going in and saying something. Very very poor customer service skills and it sucks and we love wendys! If you ever want to order go anywhere else but this location this isn't the first time I've had to wait in the line forever nor the 2.3.or even 4th...

I use to enjoy going to Wendy's on Southdale once a week. But now after my experience with a front line /elderly cashier, she pretty much helped me decide that Wendy's is not that concern about hand hygiene. This incident happened Sept 9,2025 just after 11am and as I was coming into the restaurant a worker was cleaning the windows (nice to see that they are keeping the establishment clean) however, when she approached me to take my order, she didn't wash her hands. I guess the thing to do there is just to wipe their hands on their clothes and magically, it's clean. Anyways, She grab my burger (which was already wrapped/thank goodness) but proceeded to grab my fries. So I asked her to wash her hands before grabbing my fries and she was so offended that the manager on duty gave me the same stupid look. As she was about to say something , she quickly left the front to go on break. As for the lukewarm fries that were sitting there, the manager threw 2 of the small fries that were on the warmer, mixed them together to give me my overly priced $4.79 fries that were non edible plus I had a burger (tasted good). So rather than speak on that issue, I just threw it and vowed to never go back again.

Management: WHERE ARE THE SIGNS TO REMIND STAFF ABOUT WASHING THEIR HANDS TO PREVENT CROSS CONTAMINATION???? . Looks like it's time for staff to brush up on Occupational Health and to protect other patrons who eat...

The food quality has gone downhill, and it seems like they no longer care about consistency or customer satisfaction. First, the burgers are often dry and overcooked, lacking the fresh, juicy taste they used to have. The lettuce is usually wilted, and the tomatoes are either mushy or flavorless. It feels like they just throw the ingredients together without any care. The fries are another letdown. They’re either overly salty or completely bland, and more often than not, they come out cold and stale. The so-called “hot and crispy” promise is rarely kept. The biggest issue, though, is the service. Orders are frequently wrong, the wait times are ridiculous (even when it’s not busy), and the employees often seem uninterested or rushed. I understand that fast food can be stressful, but basic customer service shouldn’t be too much to ask. Overall, Wendy’s used to be a solid fast-food choice, but now, it’s just unreliable.
