First visit at this location; not impressed. When we walked in, not one person said “hello”, no “welcome to wimpy’s, how many?” , we simply got a “for the 3 of you, than the woman looked around and said “follow me”, (there was 2 adults and 2 children..) we were seated below the tv, which was fine. Although first glance around we noticed there were tons of dirty dishes with flies hovering on the counter. Our waitress was an Asian lady whom failed to listen to the specifics of our orders multiple times. We had asked for a coke/Pepsi with no ice, she had brought one with ice.. my fiancé didn’t complain at first, he just drank the one drink, than had to ask for a refill and again stated with no ice, the server came back and asked if he wanted her to dump the ice that was currently in his cup?? , we both ordered the five star combo with over easy eggs, when the food had come I was nearly done my plate before she even came to ask how things were going.. my “over easy” eggs were over hard/over medium. When I had said something the server was pretty quick to go back to the kitchen and complain to them (which we could hear as we were one of the closest tables to the kitchen) I had to ask multiple times for refills on my coffee as well as milkettes. My family is pretty good when out to eat, everything we’re finished with is neatly piled at the end of the table for easy pick up, yet the server had walked past the table quite a few times and failed to pick anything up even with empty hands, than she had come to collect some of the things off the table and she had grabbed the silverware we were still using so we had to ask for more. When we were all done we sat for quite a while waiting for our bill (all but one plate was off our table), after a few minutes we decided to make it obvious we were trying to leave (there was also a line at the door that some people were waiting for quite some time, so we were trying to get out of the table for the next customers to finally be seated), the server than walked over and asked if we wanted our bill, which obviously we did considering we’re standing there with our 2 young boys.. she came over with the bill and machine, handed them to him and just walked away. No “thank you”, “enjoy your day” nothing.. came back a few minutes later and didn’t even ask if we wanted a copy of the receipt but was quick to look if we had given a tip.. saw that there was no tip given from debit so she threw the paper down and walked away rudely. Again, no thank you no nothing (we tip in cash to ensure the servers get to take home the tip, as I’ve been to some places where tips from cards are put on their pay stubs rather than taking home same day) , so we hadn’t left anything as the service was very poor and the food was barely adequate. We enjoy wimpys and always go to the south location, but considering this one was closer we thought we’d give it a try. Will never be returning to this location due to the service given today, but highly recommend the south location! The ladies in the south are very friendly and have great service, which was complete opposite of this location, VERY...
Read moreI will start off with our server was Amazing and if I could give her 10 stars seperate from the overall experience I would. However, since I can't do that and give an honest review of the rest, I am settling at 1star. I ordered a $16 chicken ceaser wrap with fries included and asked to add the side salad for $4, so the meal would've totaled around $20 for a fair and reasonable price. Shortly after my order was placed the server came back and shared that the kitchen said I could not have two sides. I explained that I wanted to pay the $4 for the salad as outlined on the menu. She apologized again and said it didn't work that way and that I could have one or the other, meaning the fries and wrap for $16 or just the wrap and pay $4 for the side salad for $20. Alternatively, if I really wanted both I could order the wrap and fries for $16 and pay $12 for a salad or pay $16 for the wrap, $4 for the side salad and $4.50 for an order of fries. I was not impressed and ended up ordering something else. A similar situation happened to someone I was with last month when we dined at this wimpys location. This restaurant needs to get it together and make your menu clear because right now it's sketchy and feels icky. I get that times are tough for everyone, but this is wimpys diner and you shouldn't mislead customers with your menu. Now for the food quality, my daughter's Alfredo penne was gross and the sauce was so thick that it wasn't even like a sauce, the rest of our food was Meh...
We paid a $105 for 3 people and I had to come home and make my daughter a new meal since her pasta was gross.
Overall, I do not recommend Wimpys, save your money so your not disappointed about the food quality and...
Read moreMy husband and I are regulars at this locations. We've never had an issue until the service we got this morning...
We arrived for breakfast at around 8am and everything seemed like the usual. I ordered a Five Star Combo and my husband a Flashback Combo. When we got our food, everything on our plates were cold. My husbands eggs were overcooked and tasted like fish, the meat was cold, the pancakes were burnt. It was repulsive. After one bite he was disgusted and lost his appetite. There were under and over cooked home style breakfast fries on both of our plates,. The only thing that was mildly warm were my sausages. My husband had brought it up with the waitress and after speaking offendedly to my husband, she offered to get a new plate but at that point he wasn't feeling well enough to eat. Shortly later as I'm picking at my cold food, he gets up to go pay and then rushes to the washroom to vomit. The entire time, the waitress was just running around in circles being condescending to me while my husband is clearly sick from what he just ate. THANKFULLY, we were not charged for his plate, but realistically you'd think that coming in first thing in the moring that you would get warm, if not hot food. It saddens me as I love eating here, but the lack professionalism we experienced today and quality of food will keep us away for...
