Arby's — Restaurant in Oshawa

I am writing to formally express my disappointment and concern regarding an incident that took place at your Oshawa location on Thornton Road.

During my recent visit, I was spoken to in an extremely disrespectful and unprofessional manner by one of your supervisors named Dave. Despite my presence in the store, he made inappropriate and offensive comments—specifically accusing me of being unable to read. This behavior was not only embarrassing, but also completely uncalled for, especially coming from someone in a leadership position.

As a paying customer, I expect to be treated with basic respect and courtesy. Instead, I was subjected to humiliating and unfair treatment, which has left me feeling hurt and frustrated. I believe no customer should be treated this way under any circumstance.

I respectfully request that this matter be looked into and addressed appropriately. I would appreciate follow-up regarding any actions taken, as I believe accountability is necessary to ensure this does not happen to someone else.

My friends and I stopped in at Arby’s Oshawa after a long day working at the motorcycle show in Toronto. We had such a wonderful meal, food was awesome, staff were friendly, and the establishment was well kept. I ordered a combo with a drink & mozzarella sticks. When I was about to leave I realized that my meal wasn’t made into a combo. I thought maybe the mozzarella sticks didn’t work as a combo upgrade. I spoke with Abby and she took a look at my bill. She clarified that it was an error. I was not expecting anything, only to make sure I was aware for next time I visited. She was kind enough to take the time to see what the cost difference would be and made the correct adjustment saving me $4.05. This made my day!! Thank you Abby for your amazing customer service, and kindness.

I ensured that the lovely lady that served me wasn’t going to get in trouble; I know that not everyone wants a combo, and after a long day of working in the customer service industry that it can get exhausting. Thank you for a lovely visit to this location!

Sept '19. This is my favorite quick service restaurant. The food is always good, the service is unusually friendly and prompt, and the cleanliness of the restaurant is so refreshing. Hats off to the staff and management!

May '19. I tried Arby's Original Greek Gyro. I was pleasantly surprised. The gyro meat tasted good, seasoned well and served in a nice soft pita with tzatski sauce, lettuce and tomato. It was a nice change. I will have it again.

Jan 25 '19. I experienced something unusual today for a fast food restaurant! Really genuine customer service! Both the young people who served me at the counter and who cleaned the table actually spoke to me! Asked me about my day and actually started a conversation! And did you read above, picked up my tray and cleaned up my table!! What's going on?

I have to drive a long way to eat here. And you know what, it's amazing to enjoy the food as well as the service.

Too bad it's the only Arby's open in Durham region. But maybe that's what makes them unique?
