I stopped in and tried the new steak and queso crunchwrap sliders, which tasted pretty decent!
But I had a really strange interaction with the young female worker that gave me my food at the counter, who was really rather rude (the one I ordered from was solid).
When I walked up to grab my order, she asked me if I wanted any sauce, which is of course standard at taco bell. Okay cool.
I confirmed that the order already has the green chile queso sauce, and she was a little snappy when she clarified it does and she was asking if I needed mild, medium, hot.. but whatever, no issue.
But then as I started to say "no, thank you" and reach for her to hand me the bag, she plopped it down from about a foot or two above the counter, like she was doing a mic drop or something, and then gave me what seemed like a pretty mean look and rolled her eyes as she turned away from me..
It wasn't like she was setting it down for me or accidentally dropped it or anything, it seemed intentionally disrespectful.. I don't know if it was something to do with me specifically, or if she had something else going on and couldn't keep her composure, but it was bizarre to say the least..
I'm usually not one to complain or leave reviews, especially negative ones, but I don't think I've been treated like that before in a way that seemed so intentionally rude, and seemingly so randomly and out of place.. I've also never witnessed a food service worker treat a customer like that in the more than 10 years I spent working FoH in the restaurant industry..
Very odd, I hope for the sake of the other customers she interacts with, that the way she behaved was...
Read moreI've been eating at this Taco Bell since they were in the other location decorated with stucco and sold beer. That's a while now. Last few experiences have been poor. Sitting in the drive through for + 20 mins only to have the order mixed up etc. Came in today, as a walk in ordered 2 chicken soft taco supreme, made sure to say that a few times and was assured. No sour creme, not supreme. The tortilla was chewy and hard on the edge and the chicken was also chewy and hard. Too old. Bean burrito was made correctly, cruchwrap has so little filling in it anymore there was no point to getting that, just order a taco. 2 of the sodas were unavailable. I understand the pandemic has hit us all. But fast food establishments have remained busy and the quality has driven so low. I think I will rethink a visit before returning to my "fave" place for fast food.
OK so I have been back as I like the food. Today though, no hot sauce and fries came in a KFC box. Added to the 20 mins in drive through. Labour and supply shortage obviously affecting them as well
So maybe, less hot sauce tossed in the bag for one taco. My CSR put like 10 in there. What a waste and a horrible attitude she was typing as fast as I could talk, I think she went to tender out and I said another thing, she said you...
Read moreI like the the day staff over the evening staff here any day. I went in the other evening and prefer a cheese fry over a deluxe any day of the week, being a cheese lover I always check the cheese on it before I leave so I don't get chinched out on my beloved topping like I have been, these workers in their kitchen are oblivious to the customers watching them make the orders in the evenings and have poor customer service skills as my cheese fry has one lite squirt of nacho cheese I politely ask for a little more cheese please, where a kitchen staff member then quotes the policies and procedures to me the customer about a 2 pump rule! Well I'm in the custom service industry.... Well rule number one do not argue with the customer #2 make sure your staff is working with pride and care for each dish they put forth like they've serving family and friends. Also you always point to the sign above the counter and ask why those pictures of fries loaded with toppings and your isn't and wish to precede to argue policies and procedures, Google area manager and speak it as your typing this it changes people's tunes when they're being rude to you the customer. And if you need to talk to an area manager do so politely and thing do happen...
