Normally I pick up my orders from this location. However this time I decided to get delivery. Big mistake. Initially I called to order the pizza and it took 20 minutes to order a very simple order. The person who took my order had no product knowledge and was extremely slow. After finally completing the order I asked what my total was, to my surprise it was much more than expected. I then asked for the breakdown of the pricing and was put on hold. Once the person returned to the phone after a very long hold they told me that they had quoted me the incorrect price due to a system error. Once the correct price was determined I was told it would be 30 minutes until my order arrives at my door. After waiting an hour I called again to inquire about the status of my order. I should also mention I live very very close to this location. Someone picked up the phone put me on hold and then hung up on me. So, I called back again and spoke to someone who told me that according to their system my order had already successfully been delivered. I confirmed it in fact was not delivered. I was then put on another hold and once the person returned to the phone again was told the driver was 2 minutes away. I then asked for the manager to which the person told me they were the manager with a lot of attitude. I explained the situation and asked about some kind of compensation. The person did take $20 off my order which I did appreciate. Finally, the order showed up. I paid, took my pizza inside and the delivery driver left. I checked my order only to find that I had a part of my order missing. I called the store again and was put on hold again. Had a horrible experience with Pizza Hut Simcoe St. North Oshawa, first off had to repeat my order five times before they got it right then the driver arrives & can’t remember which pizza was mine so he proceeded to put the thermal pizza bags down on my porch for me to open them to see which was mine. Unsanitary or what? But guess what to my surprise none of them were mine. I then called the store three times before I got through spoke to the girl who took my order & she read out my order which seemed right so I asked her why is my pizza not here? at this point a total of 1hr & 15 min have gone by since I placed the order. Then Bill the manager came on the phone & I told him that I want a refund & a new pizza & he told me well your not getting both & hung up, I called back & told him the driver was leaving with my money so he spoke to him & the driver says no she doesn’t want this pizza I don’t know why? Omg really! Anyway he then passed the phone to me & the manager hangs up. I called him back & asked him why he hung up on me after he spoke to the driver? He said that the driver will give my money back & that he is done speaking to me. I said that he was handling this un professionally & he hung up. Surprise! Surprise! I called back & asked him what he was going to do about the UNSANITARY way that the driver handled the situation & Surprise! Surprise! He hung up. Read moreDuring my first experience ordering from the Pizza Hut franchise, I was disappointed by the lack of respect shown towards me as a customer. However, I must acknowledge that the pizza itself was truly outstanding, possibly the best I've ever had. The dough was remarkably light and airy, and even the crust, which I typically dislike, was surprisingly enjoyable.
My advice would be to consider visiting another Pizza Hut location or, at the very least, avoiding delivery. Attached is a photo of the pizza I received, which left me baffled as to how it ended up in its current state. I promptly called the restaurant to inform them of the issue, but unfortunately, the response I received was quite aggressive, with frequent interruptions during our conversation. While they did offer to send a replacement pizza with the exception of the slices my kids had already eaten, I was genuinely concerned about the overall situation and opted against it.
In my opinion, it would have been more appropriate for them to offer a coupon or, at the very least, a simple apology (which I never received). Instead, I felt it would be a waste of their time to send someone back with a new pizza.
The lesson here is to always check your pizzas upon delivery, and to businesses, I implore you to treat your customers with the same level of respect and decency you would extend to any fellow...
