The Crooked Uncle — Restaurant in Oshawa

As somebody new to the Oshawa area, I heard nothing but good things about the crooked uncle when it comes to wings.

Unfortunately that’s where it starts and where it ends.

I called them tonight to place an order for 5 pounds of wings. The person on the phone was extremely rude, and not willing to accommodate my order. I requested flats in multiple sauces. Satisfying their customers needs is obviously not at the forefront. They basically said they don’t want my business.

If you want to have some good wings I recommend the courtyard in Courtice.

Yes it was my fiancé who placed or attempted to place the order. I’m not sure how this is relevant. Customer service has no gender so I think you’re missing the point.

And I am 100% certain it was only 5 pounds we were looking to order your special. As two of us can only eat 3 to 4 pounds and not 10.

So again just to emphasize on future orders, make sure your employees are all about getting the sale if you know what I mean.

Lastly we were willing to pay extra for 5 pounds of flats and we did offer that.

I do know a lot about wings and their consumers and I know that some only like drums in someone we like flat so it might be something you might be willing to look into going forward to increase...

Where do I begin.. I’ve been coming to this place for nearly 10 years and I must say, they have the best wings in Durham region for the perfect price point!! They have a pint and pound of wings daily special for $16 ish. The owners and staff are very pleasant and nice/out going. I introduced many friends and family to this place and they are all hooked even brought my family from New Brunswick here when they came to visit and loved the food! They have amazing flavours I recommend 40 creek bbq, Cajun or my recent favourite i came up with medium Garlic Parm. Sooo yummy. I HIGHLY recommend coming here if you’re a wing lover like myself. Only downside is the restaurant isn’t too big, but that doesn’t matter when the food is amazing and they have TV’s all around which is great for watching sports. I'm consistently pleased with Uncle's. The waitstaff are always friendly. I'm pretty particular about how I like my wings (I like them the proper way) and The Crooked Uncle does them right. I'm not big on breaded wings and Uncle's has a naked option and they cook their wings from raw. Any bar that precooks their wings shouldn't be selling wings. Unfortunately, I'm seeing that more and more in the Oshawa area. The chef here is a bone fide chef with experience. The food she makes is good.
