I'll get my safety concerns out of the way first; I've been to this location only twice so far but both times two different employees have had either their nose or nearly their entire face hanging completely out of their mask while preparing my food. I'm hoping this is simply an oversight on the part of management while they are occupied with getting a new location on its feet and not representative of the health and safety protocols of the franchise as a whole. I look forward to seeing these types of issues get corrected as this location matures and settles into our community.
I was very excited when I first noticed that 3 Brothers had set up at this location because I had tried 3 Brothers at the downtown location before and enjoyed it. Everyone knows Shawarma Palace is the best shawarma in the city so my review will mainly compare and contrast the market leader with this up-and-coming contender. The problem with living in Kanata is that the closest Shawarma Palace location is on Carling in the West end. With this new 3 Brothers location there is now the possibility of a much shorter drive, or even a walk or bike trip when you feel the need for some delicious garlicky goodness. The reason - in my opinion -Shawarma Palace is the clear leader in this sector is a combination of their deliciously moist, balanced flavour chicken, as well as their amazing toum. Usually when I decide I don't want to drive all the way to Shawarma Palace I'm left disappointed by dry, overly lemon-y chicken and underwhelming toum. I'm happy to report this has not been my experience at this 3 Brothers location. Their chicken is absolutely delicious, as is their toum. "Ok Josh, so their chicken and toum is great, now tell me about their potatoes". Their potatoes are where I feel 3 Brothers still has a little room for improvement. Their potatoes are not bad, I just don't like them quite as much as Shawarma Palace's because I feel they are a little too large so the ratio of potato to spices and seasonings is too heavily weighted towards potato. I will say though that whatever spices and seasonings 3 Brothers is using are amazing so if they simply cut their potatoes a little smaller I would consider theirs to be the best I've had. Overall I'm really excited to have another strong player in the shawarma game so...
Read moreI just ordered for the second time in a week from here using Ubereats and not only is the food very tasty (it's my favourite falafel platter place) but the customer service is amazing. Let me explain. This time there was an issue with the Ubereats order and my order never arrived so I had to reorder it. The replacement order got here very fast and not only did they send me a free dessert but there was a little note asking me to call them when it arrived. I did and they apologized for what happened (although it wasn't their fault) and then he even told me about the fact that their poutine is made with a vegetable broth because he realized that I'm vegetarian. I went from feeling pretty frustrated to feeling like a special customer! What great service. The second Ubereats driver was great too. Thanks for handling this so beautifully and now I'll enjoy this great food and...
Read moreI went into 3 brothers Kanata for the first time and I was unsure what to order after a long day at work and being super hungry. The helpful staff helped guide me through the menu with patience and explain the different order options. After being recommended a traditional style chicken shawarma sandwich served on a Saj pita with fries, garlic, pickles and grenadine I was a bit skeptical as it was something I haven't tried in the past but let me assure you it was incredible. The pita is much thinner and has a crispy/flakey outside, the combination of sauces was rich and creamy and the pickles added that crunch i was also looking for.
Definitely nice to have some great, fast and inexpensive comforting food during these...
