Baskin-Robbins — Restaurant in Ottawa

We’ve been ordering the same ice cream cake from Baskin Robbins for pretty much my whole life and I’m 40. It’s a birthday cake with fudge top with balloons made of icing (first pic). Last year to my disappointment they had replaced the balloons with M&Ms (2nd pic). Keep in mind this cake cost $45 for a 4 to 6 person serving size. I checked online and the picture online is still the cake with icing balloons.

We picked up a cake again this morning for our birthday, a year after last years disappointing cake, and they did the same thing. When we ordered this time we specifically mentioned icing balloons. We asked them to change it and they did a bit of a half assed job of putting these tiny balloons on it (pic 3). For the cost of the cake, I expect it to look how it’s advertised. The icing balloons are one of our favourite parts of the cake!

Temper your expectations with them when it comes to cakes as they clearly cut corners and aren’t...

Went to Baskin and Robbins in the Kanata Centrum for the first time with my kids. Looked up the flavors and the flavor of the month online before we visited as we did not know what to expect. Was not greeted by the cashier when I arrived or when I went up to the cash. When i asked about the flavor of the month the cashier didn't explain anything and it wasn't until after I paid that I saw a couple bins with topping which I'm assuming could be added to the ice cream and it is unfortunate because I'm sure my kids would of loved the option. The price was quite high for two small bowls of ice cream too. I had planned on eating inside the store but the tables were not wiped down and still had sticky ice cream on...

Bad experience... I went to order custom birthday cake for my daughter's brithday. Chose the one with eggy chocolets on the top as per the person on the casher. Paied extra $10. Picked up the cake and came back at home found out the cake was with plastic eggies which is not as advertised by the person. So, I went there and explain the next day. The owner was there but she keeps saying "I am the owner of the store" and did not seem to understand the problem and showing it's not a big deal. I asked for a refund and she got upset and throwing me a cash.... It's not about the money but how she handled the customer service. Never...
