When we arrived the coffee was not hot. We ordered our food and I ordered a Stacked Breakfast. Two giant rubbery pancakes were just stuffed on top of my breakfast with a couple of little squirts of cream. A small pot of maple syrup was $1.49 extra, otherwise it was ‘table syrup’… table syrup in a pancake house?? The pancakes were not hot but I ate them so I could get to my breakfast, a separate plate would be much easier. The entire breakfast was cold as the plate was cold. The waitress told me they don’t have plate warmers. My wife had Hash Benedict, which was similarly cold. Both of our dishes had grated cheese which was not even vaguely melted. It was not busy, they were not rushed off their feet, the food was simply created without love or care. The waitress tried to make it right by taking $10 off the bill, but it was still $55 for two cold breakfasts which we did not eat. Yet the suggested tips on the POS a machine went from 15% minimum to 30%.
Sadly, this is our second poor experience at Stacked, and we will never go back again. Cold food in a not busy restaurant is unacceptable. Get a new chef who cares about what he is sending out for...
Read moreWe had a fantastic breakfast at Stacked, but what truly made the experience memorable was our server, Polina. From the moment we sat down, she brought a warm, cheerful energy that instantly made us feel welcome. She was clearly knowledgeable about the menu, offering thoughtful recommendations that ended up being spot on. She was also very patient, answering all the questions we had and customizing our order as we requested.
Polina struck the perfect balance of being conversational and professional. She was attentive without ever hovering, and seemed to know exactly when we needed something before we even had to ask. It’s rare to come across someone so naturally good at hospitality.
The food itself was excellent—great quality, generous portions, and a wide variety of breakfast options. Even better, the prices were reasonable for what you get. But honestly, no matter how good the food is, the quality of the service impacts whether we’ll return to a place, and thanks to Polina and her colleagues, we’ll definitely be returning and...

We had a great experience at Stacked Pancake and Breakfast House Kanata! We were greeted and seated quickly, and the staff made sure we were comfortable throughout our visit. Arriving at 9 AM, we had no issues with wait times, and parking was convenient—especially for families with kids or those needing accessible spaces.
The coffee was always hot and fresh, with water refilled regularly. Our food arrived quickly, was fresh, and tasted fantastic. The portions were generous, and the pricing was excellent. Even on opening weekend, the service was attentive and welcoming. Definitely a great spot to visit with family, friends, or loved ones for a delicious breakfast experience!
We attended with 3 seniors, one needing accessibility, two parents and a toddler. The staff accommodated all needs with ease! Our final bill after tax and tip for 6 orders/ppl was under 150 and that was with extra drinks...
