Just had a large order placed for Biggs Deli & Bar for a pickup order. Was left very unsatisfied after spending $130.00 for 4 people. Where to begin... Ordered Chicken Clubhouse Wrap as I don't like soggy bread, Got Chicken Club on Bread which was soggy, With soggy Fires that were uncooked in the middle (Never normally have an issue and their fries are normally very tasty). Ordered Cheese Sticks, got burnt oil tasting undercooked not melted cheese for more then the website states $12.99 for 8 sticks WHAT?, Ordered a Combo Shrimp platter, got a regular shrimp platter at the price of a combo shrimp platter, (According to the lady that answered the phone she didn't have our phone number and they no longer offer this option and couldn't call us (Even though we just called on that number) for an alternative so instead asked the cook to make something close to this.) Dish for some reason had frozen vegetables that when cooked were bland and overly watery, (How hard is it to cut a couple peppers and put something fresh on the plates for veggies), Ordered Stir Fry which bizarrely came with Spaghetti Noodles, and also had Frozen vegetables... For a Stir Fry...., Also leaked heavily in the bag. Would have forgot my drink if I didnt speak up at the counter before leaving and gave me a 7up when the order was for a sprite. All prices were more then the website stated and even with the website notifying me that all prices are set to change without notice it still made me feel gouged and disappointed. Called to complain and the person that answered "sorry I just answer the phone." Not let me put you in touch with the manager or the owner / how can we make this right etc as good customer service would have suggested. Change your Oil more and check your temperatures this is restaurant 101!! This was supposed to be a special office meal for Christmas and 3 of the 4 individuals were severely disappointed. So it is with heavy heart that my suggestion is to avoid Biggs as it is overpriced and now more importantly is not serving good food anymore. I don't normally write reviews and generally avoid negative comments but this I felt was warranted for others to avoid...

Here's the positive.
I was greeted by the owner at the door Table for 2 right away.
The food was excellent. I had a12oz medium rear steak with 3 eggs and home fries + beans.
The Negatives
The waitress was the most lazy person I have ever had in my life.
Why do you say that well heres why.
She never once came to ask if we wanted refills on my coffee or if we wanted something else to drink.
When she brought our food two things were missing. 1 our toast 2 my wife's sausage were not cooked the way she ordered them.
The waitress I'm sorry the cook should have known this. I said to myself a waitress who takes an order should always look at her order before serving it to the customer and make sure all the food comes out pretty much at the same time not 20 minutes later.
My wife sent back the sausage and again we got it back wrong so my wife said ok keep it I don't want it anymore. The waitress finally took notice and brought them back to the kitchen to get it done the way my wife had asked 30 minutes prior.
I literally had to ask another waitress for a second cup of coffee ☕️ because my waitress was busy in the corner talking to another waitress.
My waitress had been at another persons table 3 times but always overlooked the table I was at.
All in all my meal cost $90.00 that's with $18 tip because they share tips. The others shouldn't be punished by someone else's mistakes.
Other staff looked at my table but didn't offer any services.
My family has owned 16 restaurants in the Cornwall Ontario area and I have owned 3 myself and I can say this.
All staff should work as a team not one against the other.
They should all be trained by Rachel at City Limits Restaurant in Cornwall Ontario.
That's what you actually call a professional waitress.
Why do ask well because her number one priority is great customer service to prove that the food is great as well as the owners she works for.
Very disappointed in the service I...
Read moreUnfortunately this becomes one of the few of my negative reviews which I've now been force to place in almost several years. As an individual who enjoys a restaurant experience and a person who grew in a family that worked in this field I notice the little things. Coming into a restaurant that brings a manager who is commanding staff and telling them what to do by stomping around and pointing fingers and further yelling at his waitresses is beyond disappointing. And unacceptable imho. We continued and sat down ordered our food with kind staff helping out. But soon realizing that a 3 egg breakfast with ham/bacon/sausage would cost 20 dollars was shocking and abusive financially during these times where people are looking to get out, but are also considering how much to spend also? Strike 2 I said. Once this was there I made a simple request to have abit more meat rather than the standard. And soon got another surprise. Less than I ordered wow Strike 3 your out. Plain and simple.
And of course ordering a drink and requesting a simple orange juice cost me 7.50 because the waitress assumed I'd be having a large. I was really going for something simple and with some water on the side this is usually always fine for me. In the end spending 30 dollars (including taxes) left me with a lose of words until now. If you are considering places to enjoy a simple satisfying breakfast you will likely face many points of questions here. Cost, Customer Service, and Simple Requests are all avoid. Expectations will fall quickly if they do not change this. So will...
