Today I decided to visit Bonita's Cantina because I was in the mood for some excellent local taco's. However, I was in for a rude awakening my online friends. I decided to order 2 tacos (chicken and fish). When they arrived they were soggy and the one taco had very limited chicken inside it. The fish taco looked like egg salad!! There was no crispy fish to be found...only mush!! As for my ORIGINAL BONITA"S BURRITO it came large as promised and felt quite full. The gentleman behind the counter swore it was the best seller for the hungry man. SO as i received the burrito is came as large as promised. I took one bite and it was like eating tomato sauce and rice!!! Bland AF!!! I could not believe how bad it was. I suggest to avoid this spot. Bonita's Cantina: First Time Customer Experience.
Bonita's Cantina was nicely located in the corner of the Home Hardware parking lot. They had a welcoming deck/patio eating area and parking was easily accessible.
The staff were kind and friendly. They took my order promptly and I had my food within a very reasonable amount of time.
The food was wicked good! I order the Bonita's Cantina "The Original", a burrito, and it was delicious. There isn't too much Mexican fare in the West End but I highly recommend giving them a try.
Their menus and ordering can be viewed and done online. If you plan ahead you can place your order and show up. Either way, efficient service, friendly staff and delicious food are all to be had. I'll be returning shortly to taste the rest...

Ordered 3 tacos and a Mexican Poutine…
Tacos:
The fillings are not great or authentic at all and also very very bland, if you are looking for authentic Mexican food this is not the place.
Fish taco is not battered fish it is more like a “Fish Salad” some sort of shredded fish with mayo and sour cream or so, it is kinda sweet… personally NOT my favourite.
Beef and Pork were ok but not great, too much lettuce and filling not very much, only thing that saved the tacos is that they are served on a double tortilla shell and there is cheese in between, Loved that!!
Mexican Poutine:
It is ok, a little salty but ok.
