Hi!! I’m the egg salad girl (if they see this), love this place so much lol love the egg salad croissant and I love saying hi to all the people working there and catching up with them everyones so friendly :D i dont have much time to eat or I forget to eat the night before so grabbing an egg salad croissant (or a petit coco) and a pain au chocolat is perfect before or after a lecture or lab! Everything’s always so fresh, and I love the holiday themed chocolates!! I gift them to my friend who really likes chocolates if I buy them, but they’re so interesting to look at while food is being warmed haha. idk what id do without this bakery, I usually go there like majority of the week unless I get super busy TvT I think I’ve eaten like 1000 egg salad croissants there and I can say it’s a 100/10 breakfast/lunch choice! I’m only a first year and I’ll be going further off campus next year, but I will be consuming millions more croissants in the years to come 😂....
Read moreThe other day I was craving a French tart, so I went out of my way to come here. I was disappointed to find that the display case was almost empty despite me being here 2.5 hours before closing. There were no cakes available, only sandwiches and a small selection of bread and viennoiseries.
What I wanted (almond croissant) wasn't available so I took the chocolate almond croissant (costed nearly 6$) instead. This Première Moisson location is worse than the Gatineau location for sure. My chocolatine aux amandes was very small and very stale. For 6$ it's definitely not worth the price, go to the Gatineau location instead.
This Première Moisson is located inside the FSS (Faculty of Social Sciences) building at uOttawa, so I got to eat peacefully in the study area.
The cashiers were friendly and I've had previous great experiences at this Première Moisson location. If not for those, I probably would've given 3 stars for...
Read moreI recently visited this café and was deeply disappointed by the unprofessional and disrespectful behavior we encountered. Despite waiting patiently to be served (and the customers in front of us already having been served by the same employee), our presence was blatantly ignored by a staff member, "Nancy", who later made disrespectful comments in French about us. When addressing the issue with the manager, instead of receiving support, I was met with accusations of calling the staff racist for simply expressing my concern over potential discrimination. The manager's response, suggesting that the employee's behavior could be excused due to her being "on her period", was both inappropriate and dismissive. This experience has left me feeling unwelcomed and disrespected. The only good thing about this cafe is one of the male employees who apologized for Nancys behavior and offered to help...
