I recently had the pleasure of visiting the new Chick-fil-A location at the Tanger Outlets in Kanata/Stittsville, and I must say, it was a culinary revelation! As someone who’s always heard rave reviews about Chick-fil-A but never had the chance to try it, my expectations were high—and they were not just met but exceeded in every way.

From the moment I stepped inside, I was greeted with warm smiles and an inviting atmosphere. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, making me feel right at home. But the real star of the show was the food.

I decided to try their classic Chick-fil-A Chicken Sandwich, and it was everything I hoped for and more. The chicken was perfectly cooked—crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, with just the right amount of seasoning. Paired with their signature waffle fries and a refreshing peach milkshake, it was a meal that hit all the right notes.

What truly impressed me was the attention to detail and quality of ingredients. Each bite was bursting with flavor, and it was evident that the food was prepared with care. I recently visited the Chick-fil-A fast food restaurant branch at 3000 Palladium Dr, Kanata, ON K2T 0K5. As the second location in Ottawa, this branch is quite popular, and there is almost always a lineup. Be prepared to wait for both your order and a table, as seating availability can be limited. The service was acceptable overall. The reception staff were patient and helpful when taking orders, and my food was ready in less than 10 minutes, which was impressive given the crowd. The dine-in and takeout presentation met expectations. If you prefer to skip the wait inside, the drive-thru is spacious and well-organized, making it a convenient option. Additionally, during my visit, the restaurant was clean and well-maintained, which is always a positive sign. Food Quality:

While Chick-fil-A is known for its chicken, I was somewhat disappointed with the chicken strips I ordered. I expected them to be crispy and fresh, but unfortunately, they lacked the desired crunch and tasted slightly stale. It seemed as though they had been fried earlier and reheated upon ordering, possibly due to the high demand. Given the name of the restaurant, I anticipated a higher standard for their chicken fillet-based items. Overall Rating: (4/5)

The service and cleanliness were commendable, but the food quality did not fully meet my expectations. I hope the management takes note of this feedback and ensures that all orders are freshly prepared to maintain the high standards associated with Chick-fil-A.

Dropped by last night to try it and what a huge disappointment.

We used the drive thru, which had a pretty sizable line but moved somewhat fast. Staff were outside and friendly but notably very cold. It seems they don't provide jackets or adequate outerwear to their workers as most of them I heard were talking to each other saying how cold it was and visibly shivering.

We got a few things so we could try different things on the menu. We ordered the original chicken sandwich, spicy chicken sandwich, nuggets, waffle fries, lemonade, iced tea and sauces.

original chicken sandwich was so dry, the chicken was tough, thin and overcooked. It was flavourless.... I could taste the bun more than the chicken or pickles so I'm not sure if they brine and season their chicken properly.

spicy chicken sandwich was a bit better, good amount of heat but again, not great, no flavour.

nuggets were not really nuggets but small pieces of mostly batter and again, mostly burnt.

lemonade was pretty good, there's actual lemon pulp so I'm thinking they make it fresh or semi fresh? I thought this was good. Iced tea was also pretty good but both were very sweet.

waffle fries were limp and lacking any seasoning.

They forgot to give me a straw, the chick fil a sauce i ordered and the receipt i asked for and promised me it was in the bag which it wasn't. Way too long of a line up and too many people inside so I didn't bother with the hassle.

Overall, not worth the hype for bland, overcooked chicken that has no flavour. Save your...
