An honest review-
The walls are paper thin, and to make matters worse the rooms have these double doors that could be opened to connect rooms BUT that makes it even worse. We heard the other couple as if they were in the same room, every word was clear. horrible if you are like me and my husband who specifically wanted the hotel to get away from the kids. Instead we were awkwardly starring at each other when we realized even in a hotel room we get NO privacy.
Only one tiny night stand table by the bed, so only one person gets a spot to put their drinks. The pool is not very big, but looked very clean. Gym was small but was nice. the beds were comfy and room smelled clean when we entered. Breakfast was mediocre and basic.
Night staff lady was frustrated and in a rush, but she seemed overworked and tired so I didn’t blame her for it, and she did help us a lot which we truly appreciated. We ended up switching rooms and that one was extremely quiet until 7am, when a construction worker began drilling in the next room. But we didn’t mind it, since he was just fixing up a room and we were already awake by then. They gave us complimentary water when we left.
I had started by giving one star but changed it to two just because the staff was decent. If it wasn’t for them and the comfy beds it would have definitely been a much worse stay. Also the location is near the Canadian tire centre and you could just walk to watch a hockey game...
Read moreThis was my first time staying in a microtel and I really wish I read the reviews beforehand. There was a bunch of rude hockey parents belligerent drunk and embarrasingly loud in the lobby bar. Kids running up and down the hallways and elevators it was horrible. The hotel had a little note and earplugs on the nightstand because of the hockey teams. I should have taken a picture of all that. I just wanted to shop the outlets in the morning and this hotel is right next door. I left to shop my husband stayed in the room. I was approved for late check out at noon and while my husband was showering a man came knocking at the door told him he needed to check out. My husband told him we had a late check out for noon and the man told him that 11 was check out. He hurried and packed the whole room up and left at 11:30. I was not aware of any of this until he came to pick me up at the outlets. I went back to the hotel and made sure everything was out of the room and spoke to the reservation desk worker about the incident. She also said check out is at 11 and I told her I had been approved for noon checkout because I have gold membership then she apologized for the mistake. I just wanted a nice weekend of shopping and it turned shitty. Now today the manager has the audacity to email and offer a fake apology and proceeds to blame me I did mot check out at 1230. Never staying...
Read moreTo start the communication with the hotel staff is brutal. I had called ahead to see what I needed to check in, they told me my id and the card I booked my room with. Upon arriving after driving almost 7 hours I was refused check in because the card I used was a debit visa and they would not take a cash deposit. I asked to speak with a manager and was told that the manager would tell me the same thing and was not able to talk to a manager. I had to wake my sister up in the same hotel to use her credit card so my autistic son who was freaking out could get into the room we booked months in advance. When I finally got in my room, which is very small and overpriced, a bunch of black hairs were found on the apparent “clean” bed. The breakfast was free but they ran out fast and was low quality. The beds were very uncomfortable and the pillows were way to big, terrible sleep. Walls are super thin in this place, can tell it was built very cheap. Can hear everyone walking above your room clear as day. Alot of construction going on around the hotel as well. We will never stay at a microtel again after the terrible stay here. The only good thing was my kids enjoyed the hot tub. If your going to spend this kind of money on a tiny room you might as well go to a Hilton and get good service that’s worth the price tag. We were not even asked how our stay was or anyone else we...
