If you want way over priced food that is bland and you have to cook yourself I suggest coming here and ordering the stone grill steak. My significant other and I decided to visit on a Wednesday and have the stone grilled steaks as a fun date night. I had looked at thier menu online and although it seemed a bit overpriced compared to other restaurants in Centrum, since it would be a unique experience I thought why not. We arrived and the place was dead. There were a total of 4 occupied tables and we soon found out why. I had the stone grill 8oz tenderloin and he had the 14oz striploin...The food arrived and looked amazing and I thought wow what a treat...until I had a bite.My meat tasted like old liver and was terribly bland. The only seasoning was salt and a tiny portion of what tastes like store bought dipping sauce you get that is not allowed on the stone because it will burn. We quickly learned that if you order the stone grill don't bother eating your sides with the meal, stick to the steak if you like it cooked at all. The stone quickly loses its searing capabilities and if you get a larger steak like my partner or am a slow eater like me about half way through your meat has more of a boiled texture than the proper sear a steak should have. After struggling to get down the last few bites of steak and asking for our bill from the waitress who only had 3 tables but never seemed to be around; I quickly checked the bill all $115 worth and felt an extreme disappointment that I had just eaten a meal that was worth more than days pay (according to Crazy Horse) and I didn't like it and more importantly my partner was unsatisfied. Quite honestly the best part of the meal was the potatoes. Paying over $50 each for some ok potatoes and terrible steak has totally turned me off Crazy Horse. I won't be returning and if you are reading this and are considering a meal at Crazy Horse save yourself some money and go to Baton Rouge where the food is more reasonably priced, tastes better and you actually get...
Read moreService throughout the evening, both in the dining area and at the bar, was executed with professionalism and consistency. Staff demonstrated attentiveness without intrusion and maintained an efficient pace under what appeared to be a high volume of guests. Of particular note were the male bartenders, who managed their responsibilities with composure, precision, and a degree of confidence that instilled a sense of order and competence behind the bar.
The venue’s ambience is distinctly upbeat, driven in large part by the inclusion of live musical acts. The bands performing during my visit brought an enthusiastic and engaging presence to the room, contributing to a collective sense of enjoyment that permeated the evening. This musical component elevates the establishment above a standard dining or drinking venue, offering guests a more dynamic and immersive experience.
The overall atmosphere could best be described as positive, sociable, and well-managed. While the space leans towards a more lively and informal energy, it does so without descending into chaos or discomfort. The management appears to have struck a careful balance between entertainment and hospitality, ensuring that patrons are both welcomed and well accommodated.
In summary, Crazy Horse succeeds in delivering a well-structured and enjoyable evening. It is an environment suited to those seeking competent service, engaging entertainment, and a celebratory mood. I would recommend it to individuals or groups seeking an evening out in Ottawa with an emphasis on live music and a...
Read moreDecided to drop in on a whim. Crazy horse saloon. Walked in and asked if I could go for a drink at the bar; at the door there were hostesses and a manager I think. All were friendly and courteous. They pointed me to the bar and told me to enjoy.
I sat on the tall stool chair and looked around. Very saloon like feeling. I like this place. Bar tender offered me Wicked easy pale ale by Samuel Adams. Tasty nice hint of citrus and felt nice going down. I wasn’t hungry at all just in for a drink but the friendly welcoming bar tender suggested the 1/2 price Tacos. The choices were chicken or haddock. I love fish so I thought why not; try the tacos. Now I have tried tacos all over North America but let me tell you. Man these tacos were delicious. Light, fresh, tasty, fragrant and just perfect, Are they always like this or was this a lucky night for the chef. The perfect most satisfying light bite that I could remember. I am glad I ordered the fish Tacos, everyone should try these simple yet super delicious satisfying tacos.
So I had to order a dessert and it was the pretzel brownie. Came topped with a delicious fresh scoop of vanilla ice cream and a line of chocolate sauce.
Then the bill came. 30 dollars - wow That was so cheap compared to the pleasure I was gifted this evening. The most amazing tacos, the most friendly and welcoming staff all around and, the atmosphere; I felt like I was at a real saloon. Love this.. Everyone should try this place and I hope you will be as lucky as I was...
