Where do I begin? The best part of 5guys was when their food exited my stomach and landed in the toilet bowl. I honestly never thought I could find any place worse than the KFC I reviewed located on Alta Vista but along came 5guys. This was my first time ever trying this establishment but unfortunately will definitely be the last. I ordered a couple of burgers for my wife and myself and we were appalled of the outcome. The burgers were soggy buns were wet from the pounds of grease that soaked them cheese was processed and bacon was burnt and very minimal considering the burgers cost $12.49 each. Vegetables were old fries weren't cooked tasted like peanut butter seeing that it sat in oil and wasn't fried correctly and unfortunately I left my phone in the vehicle so you don't get the pleasure of seeing the slop we were served but add the $7.50 shakes that had half a scoop of ice cream then it should give you an idea of what they offer customers. It cost nearly $60 and could've had twice the amount of food and had been satisfied had we gone to McDonald's. I heard many people say good things about this place so not sure if it's a locations thing or a true representation of the company as a whole but honestly would ask that you reconsider your options when choosing this place as an option to eat at. Negative Five is what these Guys should get for what they sell and if I save one person from feeling unwell after visiting here then this platform has done what we ask of it. I could seriously add so much more from staff to lack of care or effort but I'm sure you can get the required information from what...
Read moreWhen my wife and I walked in, theres was an othe coupkd in the midst of placing an order. I hear the guy, taking the order, call out 12 paddies. Right away in my mind I figuered it was going to take a while for them to pick toppings for every burger they just ordered.
To our amazement the second cash opens up with a very energetic and upbeat personality. I was very happy at this point. Not only did the customer service at this place is on point. Everyone who was working looked and acted as if they were genuinely happy and proud to work for this company.
To say the least it was a very big breath of fresh air. My order was taken quickly and we took our number and promptly found a table to wait our turn. Of course we grabbed a delicious hand full of peanuts. (Side note: Do not get rid of this stapple. No matter how much hate you get for not being a peanut free environment. Having them is essential to my visit at The Five Guys)
As we sat down I heard number 86 being called out. "Ok. 5 orders until ours. And those 12 burgers just before us. So we got 15-20 mins to wait."
Well was I surprised. As per usual the peoples working there are like a well maintained and oiled machine. Food was ready in Tops 10 minutes. We inow because we watched a YouTube video on kitchen hacks that was about 8:43 long.
Today is Wed, August 23rd 2017. I finished my burger just before writing my review. Everyone who worked tonight. Thank you. You are all awesome peoples and deserve to know. Great Food! Great...
Read moreTLDR: Good burgers. I don't think anyone would be reading a review about Five Guys these days, it's quite the popular restaurant chain by this point, but I'm still going to review it non the less. So first of all, I'll begin with the simple fact of that this branch doesn't have dine in option, so it's only for pickup, so if you're buying from this branch be sure you have someplace to eat at. Okay, now let's get straight to the point, this is a restaurant, and restaurants are all about the food, I've heard a lot of people talk about Five Guys fries, and I gotta say this is interesting, Five Guys does offer potatoes that are different than the majority I'd say, it does that have homemade fries taste to it, and I'm saying this in a good way, however that great base taste was ruined by the insane amount of salt they've put on it, really ruined the flavor and the experience. However, on the other side, their burgers were really nice, loved the taste, grilled beef patties with cheese on it, you customize what you want to have in between the buns, so you can always be satisfied, and I enjoyed their burgers, would definitely swap the fries for another burger lol, also gotta say the proportions were fine as well, exactly what you'd expect from restaurants in this segment. Other points I'd like to mention are related more to the restaurant chain than this particular branch, but Five Guys online services are bad, it feels like it's still stuck...
