I'm so disappointed that my favorite fast food restaurant has been taken over by people whom don't care about quality and service. They never have white breast meat (any time I have been in) Closed at odd hours like 6:05 pm on a week night. Sitting behind the counter not doing anything, restaurant is totally empty, Hunt Club is the busiest roads in Ottawa, but when you order "we only have dark meat, can you wait 30 minutes while we fry some up" This is also the same for the Alta Vista Location, Barrhaven and Kemptiville. I am wondering if KFC restaurants in Ottawa are purposely being driven to the ground perhaps to bring in another franchise....Barrhaven seems to think that if you have a coupon then you can only receive dark meat! This goes for any bucket meal. The manager told me to my face "dark meat only with coupons"!! Alta Vista has been cutting their pieces in half...Kemptville closes down for lunch for their employees and if there is a few centimeters of snow, then the restaurant as a whole is SHUT DOWN...they never have gravy (the few times I have been there) Just weird. Like I said, KFC is not like it was when we were...
Read moreTake a chicken, tie a rope around it, and drag it behind a camel, across the entire Sahara desert (the chicken should be dead before you start- don't be cruel). Once you've completed your journey, give the camel some water, and leave the chicken in the desert, under the scorching sun, for about three months. Come back and beat the chicken with a stick, and leave it for another three months. The chicken should be completely shriveled up and leather-like in appearance by now. Beat it with a stick again (if you feel the need). What you will end up with, aside from acquired personal knowledge of the harsh Sahara desert climate and basic camel care, is one dry chicken. Why all this, you ask? And why were you beating the dead chicken with a stick? Perhaps a better question would be: Why is this chicken still not as dry as the chicken I bought at this KFC location? It did, however, earn that one star rating for at least it brought back faint memories from my very early childhood; curious, exploring the world around me, chewing on cardboard. At least that didn't cost me fifteen bucks. Oh, to be...
Read moreI went to this location for lunch today. When I first entered the restaurant I went to the counter and waited a few minutes but nobody seemed to be there. I decided to order through the kiosk I had passed on the way in. After doing so I sat down to wait for my food. After 15 minutes, still nothing. Another customer comes in and a girl started to take their order. I went up and after she had finished with the other customer, I let them know I had ordered through the kiosk and had been waiting 15 minutes at which time I was told it wouldn't be much longer. I then noticed her walk over to another cash and grab a receipt from the printer. My food finally came out about 5 minutes later, at the exact same time as the other customers. I asked if they hadn't gotten my order when I first placed it and I was told no, everything was fine it just took time. Clearly they hadn't checked for any orders but that begs the question, why not? And why lie about it? Food was mediocre...
