Golden One Fried Chicken — Restaurant in Ottawa

Two of us ordered full chicken (two flavour combination) + French fries = 52 after tax. Plenty of food for us, that we didn’t finish and packed some up for later

This restaurant is take out / delivery focused dinning experience though there are a couple of tables on the side you can sit and eat there. We really like to eat fried food fresh, so we stayed for our meal. But if it’s other type of dishes, I would take and eat home. For the dinning experience, the services included a plate and a pair of gloves. But next time, I will try to remember to bring my own utensils (I don’t like the gloves for its messiness and enviro reasons :)

Chicken is very crispy and nice! The spicy chicken is indeed hot even for me, a person from Chongqing. 当然只是有辣味，不到辣着我的程度

In summary, would come back again, and wanna try the golden...

Bought the Golden Mustard Chicken with a Golden French Fries box & Ginger Ale for about $38

This food smells incredible

Great portion size for the chicken and fries - came with 12-14 variety pieces (boneless & boned)

I was feeling full after about 6 & still have 4 pieces left for later

Just really wished the chicken was a bit more seasoned & crunchy.

Also wished there was a bit more sauce on the chicken pieces, but that wasn't a huge deal

Fries tasted good, but surprisingly didn't taste the garlic in there despite there being garlic all over them - they mainly just tasted like salty fries (tasted decent though)

Maybe adding some Cajun spices could help bring them a bit more life.

Chicken 7/10 Fries...

Ordered on UberEats and got their Gyoza, boneless chicken with hot & spicy sauce, and rice cakes.

The gyoza was crispy, but the filling was underwhelming. There was no dip for them either which I found unusual.

Rice cakes had a good flavour but the texture was a little inconsistent, some were really tough and some were tender.

The chicken had great flavour, the sauce was delicious, and it was tender and juicy. But I found it not as crispy as I'd like. The odd bite was perfectly crispy, and if the whole thing was like that, I'd give them a 5/5. But those perfect bites were few and far between. Maybe it lost some of the crunch in transit or something. I'd be willing to give them another shot though, overall it...
