Hello, was in Ottawa for Canada Day and visited your store briefly. There were 3 of us. The merchandise was nice, however the sales associate was terrible. One of us was holding up the unisex tshirts to check size, when sales girl came over, complained she had to refold the tshirts now. Took the pile of shirts away to counter and began folding. Now how does one buy a tshirt whithout messing up the pile? We all just left instead of making a purchase. The store had 0 customers, maybe this is why. This was Sunday July 2/17 around noon. When we said we were just leaving then, it was yeah ok bye from her. Is folding not her job ? .... In response to this ridiculous owner, THEY ARE T-SHIRTS! I Didn't know the sizing in Unisex but can tell by looking at them. Sales girl cannot tell for me as she does not know the fit I want. I suggest a sign that says "do not touch t-shirts" Or You let customer pick out and buy shirt, than fix the pile after if you choose, like every other store on the planet. Also you didnt just take the unfolded Tshirts, you took the whole pile, like you were dealing with a child, Canada shirts no less on Canada day weekend. Thats classy. I'm guessing you were that rude sales girl lol. But like I said, you had 0 customers on a very busy long weekend lol. Maybe you should put customers first and not worry that your T-shirts might get messed up. You will sell more of them while on people's backs than folded in your store. FYI, it is not careless for adults to touch and pick out their own clothing, it's called shopping. And no, we won't be shopping there, lol Good Luck, you...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreabsolutely terrible service. For a small business to treat a customer the way they have is a joke, especially over a small damaged item. Every customer should be treated like gold when purchasing something and when issues arise. Maybe it's the one associate with the poor attitude so I hate to give a bad review but unfortunately that is the person representing your brand. she was however very polite when she said "your more than welcome not to shop here again" so 5 stars for that.
thank you Milk for your response! first of all it was damaged thats why I went. its seems once again your missing the point I'm not denying there is anything wrong with your policy. Your customer service is awful, that is the point. I read the receipt i know what it says and went there with the intention to exchange but your associate was rude and didn't help me at all so why would I want a credit? When I went in the first time your associate said the wallet is supposed to be like that and walked away. I left with the intention to keep it and noticed it was even worse so I came back not wanting a credit because I wouldn't be going back, because of the awful and rude service. So please if your going to respond to a review address the actual content. Your response is rude and condescending so thank you for only...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIāve been coming to Milk Shop for years and even after moving out of Ottawa I make an effort to return whenever I can. Iām SUPER shocked at some of the lower reviews posted about the staff being rude. The owner in particular has always been kind and gracious to me and certainly appreciates retuning business. Seems happy to chat and even once included a tiny gift for my mother when she came into the shop on her birthday! I find the clothes decently priced, itās not fast fashion prices like H&M or Zara but certainly cheaper than somewhere like Aritzia. I agree that the quality of the jewelry is on the lower side and I wouldnāt go there for any staple jewelry pieces, however they have some quirky and unique pieces that are sometimes worth grabbing. As someone who used to work retail in Byward Market, as a customer be understanding that the area is super high traffic and crowded in the summer, especially weekends. I completely understand why they implement rules about trying on sunglasses and jewelry and seem to be on high alert for theft. As a small business they seem to really want to avoid any damage, and as customers I feel like thatās understandable. These guys are a staple in the market and I will be a returning customer for...
