Honestly the WORST mucho burrito experience I've had in Ottawa. That's saying alot when the Kanta location is vile. First opened, and this place was a gem amongst fast food. Now? Lack of flavour, management is absolutely rude and unprofessional, when I asked him to let me know which burrito was which (one being spicy the other not) he proceeded to tell me, "I don't know you made them didn't you?" To which I replied "yes but you put them on the press and God knows which is in which order...." Luckily his employee had some sense and remembered which was which.
My next issue is the worst because this is the one reason I liked this location, they have fresh shrimp made to order, when I asked if I could get some they gave me some absurd bs answer stating it would take 20 mins to make it when it only takes 7 to really cook shrimp without it being over done. I understand you are busy but don't ever lie like that to the customer especially when in the past that same employee has told me 7 mins... Anyways I won't be coming back to this location ever again. Super unfortunate cuz I USED TOO really enjoy having it so close to home. What's the point when it sucks.
Side note, one of the employees almost trampled me on their way out of the restaurant....
Read moreWhile I would have given this place a much higher rating 2 months ago, I can't, in good conscience, recommend anyone giving this place their business.
I've been a patron for over two years. When I first started eating burritos here, the portions were huge, they were liberal with their toppings, friendly while serving, and they would hand you a bottle of hot sauce for your table while you ate.
As time wore on, however, the owners became greedy and really stingy with the toppings, using the same amount of veggies, meat, and beans for a mucho and regular sized burrito. The only difference seemed to be that they'd load up on the rice for the larger size. They stopped allowing more than a few drops of the hot sauce and began charging for a whole bottle if I requested additional hot sauce for the table. The staff also went from friendly to visibly stressed and even, as they were familiar with me as a nearly everyday regular, bashed the owners to me as being stingy, money hungry, people who run a place of low morale.
Your best bet is to skip this place and head over to Burrito Gringo on Merivale Road where the staff is happy and the very friendly owner, Tony, isn't a cheapskate.
I'd give 0...
Read moreI have ordered from here many times. On this recent occasion I thought I would share feedback mostly for the restaurant due to the lack of attention and the careless execution of the order that was placed. I asked for a burrito bowl with a minimal and very carefully selected group of toppings based on severe food sensitivities. However, what I received was a burrito bowl topped with every imaginable topping and sauces resulting in me not being able to consume the meals purchased. To be clear this is not about picky eating… this is ..”eat this and be sick all night long into tomorrow” or “don’t have dinner tonight”. This is so unacceptable and careless because it’s not one ingredient, it’s an entire mess as a result of someone not only not paying attention, but not caring enough to read the order placed by the customer. This was a delivery so of course I did not see this until I opened the bag to check. Very disappointed and frustrated… especially after a long day at work. I also ordered the Taco trio which do not travel well during delivery. They arrived soggy and stuck to the container. They could not be removed from the container as it was just mush...
