The staff there are so strange every time I go.

I went in and was dismissingly told I had to wait 15 minutes to place my order for reasons I still don’t understand. After more than 20 mins of sitting there politely reading news on my phone and being ignored by the staff, I looked up and made eye contact with one of the employees who told another in the back I was still waiting and she came out and apologized and began taking my order.

When the pizza was done, a different employee cut it and left it out of reach on the counter and I proceeded to stand there for several more minutes as they had what seemed to be heated conversations about stacks of plastic trays. I asked “excuse me, but is that my pizza?” And then the forgetful lady who prepared it seemed to chastise the one who cut it and quietly left it there and again apologized and handed me the pizza.

This was very similar to my previous experience in which I was largely ignored through each step of the process and made to feel like a burden and that I entered the twilight zone and had to beg for my pizza at each step, the final product of which was pretty great, to be fair, probably why I keep putting myself through this treatment.

I’m not confrontational and I’m pretty sure this is the first and only review I’ve ever made online because I was made to feel so embarrassed having to beg for my order over the course of almost 45 minutes. It was...

This is by far My Favourite and go-to pizza place for gourmet pizza! Prices are amazing, they have a wide variety of toppings which are high in quality and always looking fresh (even right before close). I really enjoy their unlimited toppings deal, but the best part is how quickly they can make your pizza. Unlike many other gourmet pizzarias which make pizza in an outdated stone fire oven, the platform of their oven rotates for an even and fast cook! I've visited both the Metcalfe and Rideau St. locations. Both gave me amazing customer service, and a high quality artisan personal pizza. The staff was very friendly and welcoming at both locations (even right before close). They took their time on my pizza, making sure it was a perfect circle after rolling it out, but also in the distribution and portioning of my toppings...they're Not stingy 😉 If you haven't tried it, it's a must. Compared to other gourmet pizzarias in Ottawa, this one is The better & more affordable options in terms of quality. 5stars because whenever co-workers or friends ask for a recommendation for a good pizza place to order from, it's the first that comes to mind.

Only critique is maybe cut pizza into 6 or 8 slices...

Not good pizza.

As stated by many other reviewers, the pizza could use some more time in the oven. It comes out very undercooked which makes for a chewy, doughy experience instead of the crispness you'd normally aim for. This is made worse by the fact that the undercooked dough is difficult to cut, so you end up with a thinly scored pizza that you have to tear apart yourself.

But getting past the fact that it's undercooked, the tomato sauce they use is sweetened which was unexpected and interacted poorly with the fact that none of the toppings were.

This was off peak, but after the evening rush, so there were very few orders coming in (and we were the only ones inside). Despite this, because of the fact that only a single person is running the entire place, we still had to wait behind all of the delivery orders which kept arriving while we were there. The person seemed cheery all the way through, but I suspect an extra person could have sped things up so they could do more than one...
