I recently had the pleasure of dining at Dosa and Curry, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience that surpassed all my expectations. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm smiles and excellent hospitality, setting the tone for a memorable meal.
The staff at Dosa and Curry truly understand the essence of good customer service. They were attentive, friendly, and went out of their way to ensure that every guest felt welcomed and satisfied. Whether it was refilling our glasses or suggesting dishes from the menu, their attention to detail was impeccable.
Now, let’s talk about the food – the heart of any dining experience. The menu at Dosa and Curry is a delightful mix of South Indian and North Indian cuisines, and each dish is crafted to perfection. I started with their signature masala dosa, which was crispy on the outside and filled with a perfectly spiced potato mixture. The accompanying coconut chutney and sambar were fresh and flavorful, complementing the dosa beautifully.
Next, I tried the paneer tikka masala and garlic naan, which were absolutely delicious. The paneer was soft and the gravy was rich and creamy, with just the right amount of spice. The naan was warm, buttery, and a perfect vehicle for soaking up the gravy. Every bite was a burst of flavor, making it evident that the chefs take great pride in their culinary skills.
The environment at Dosa and Curry is another highlight. The restaurant is spacious, clean, and tastefully decorated, creating a pleasant ambiance that’s perfect for a relaxed meal. The soft lighting and comfortable seating made it an ideal place to chill with friends. We spent hours enjoying our food and conversation without feeling rushed, thanks to the inviting atmosphere.
Moreover, Dosa and Curry is a fantastic spot for social gatherings. Whether you’re looking to catch up with friends over a leisurely lunch or enjoy a cozy dinner with family, this restaurant provides the perfect setting. The noise level is just right – not too loud, allowing for easy conversation.
In summary, Dosa and Curry excels in every aspect of a great dining experience – from their good hospitality and customer service to their tasty food and inviting environment. It's a wonderful place to unwind and enjoy quality time with friends while indulging in some of the best Indian cuisine around. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a top-notch...
Read moreI visited this restaurant on Sunday night with my housemates, and I’ve never felt so disrespected and frustrated during a meal. The place was empty just one customer, but the guy (dark skin, curly hair, he told his name was Mohammed , not sure if true) insisted we sit at a specific table but we wanted to sit by the window. Then, he said I’ll take order here only! we thought he was joking and we sat near the window, although he took our order but his attitude felt cold from the start.
He brought idly in a dismissive way, almost throwing the plate on the table. Our dosas took 20–25 minutes even though the restaurant empty with one customer. When he finally brought the Dosa, we politely asked him to clear extra plate and even my husband gave him the plate to take away. Instead of helping, he sarcastically asked if we wanted to keep the plate on the table. This is where he confirmed he had problem with us.
After that, he started chatting with another employee at reception and completely ignored us, seemed irritated when we asked for napkins, and made us feel like we were a burden. When we asked for a small amount of extra sambar something we’ve never been charged for before, he abruptly told us we had to pay for it. I mentioned this, and he said the policy had changed “recently,” but it felt more like we were being treated rudely and unfairly because we didn’t sit where he told us to. I told him that was fine and asked for the bill, and he bluntly told us to come to the reception to pay.
We left feeling disrespected, frustrated, and completely unwelcome. What was meant to be a relaxed dinner turned into an upsetting and...
Read moreWe were in Ottawa for the weekend and we’re craving some Indian food and came across this restaurant. We had tried calling several times to order the food through the phone but was not able to get through for over 2.5 hrs. But we decided to go in person anyway. As soon as we walked in we noticed a young girl on the phone chatting away on a personal call. We also noticed every single table had dirty cups plates and cutlery that had dried up curry on it (plates were sitting there for a while).
When we asked to be seated the another girl took forever to clear the table so my husband took the rag and cleaned the table for her.
We went downstairs to wash our hands and the washrooms were filthy, no light and no soap in either.
15 minutes went by after we ordered the food and the girl on the phone finally comes to our table and advises us she does not have 3 out of the 5 dishes we ordered.
At that point we were all fed up and decide to cancel the order and go else where.
As we are leave the “girl on the phone” says “what’s the problem now” .. are you kidding me??!!
I hope the owner of this restaurant reaches out to me because the current hired staff is going to run your business down. If I can give below 1...
