Starbucks — Restaurant in Ottawa

Rude Rude Rude. I ordered a tall Chai tea with almond milk and a muffin, but the barista didn't ask me a name for the order. I went to wait for my things at the end of the counter. The barista who always has long blonde hair in a ponytail called out a chai tea latte like 3 times. So, I told her I think the girl who took my order messed up. I told her what I asked for, and she proceeded to tell me that this is how a chai tea is made, and it must be my first time at Starbucks, and that I must go to Tim Hortons a lot because when someone orders 'Chai tea with almond milk' it means it's a latte. Anyways, she proceeded to get really annoyed by me when I told her if I wanted a latte I would have specifically asked for one. I asked for a simple Tall chai tea with almond milk and a muffin- which, I did not get. But what I did get in return is 5 minutes of being told I'm wrong and I should learn proper Starbucks terminology...

I had a very unpleasant experience at this campus café. The staff member who served me was a male employee. During my order, he did not ask me whether I wanted a hot or iced drink, nor did he ask about the cup size. Instead, he made the decision on his own and gave me a hot drink. Even after I reminded him, I still ended up receiving a hot drink.

What made the situation worse was his attitude when I asked about using my Stars for a reward. Rather than politely explaining the policy (e.g., “Sorry, we are not able to do that right now”), this male employee simply raised his voice and said a very blunt and rude “No,” without any explanation. This left me feeling very disrespected and unwelcome.

I usually enjoy Starbucks drinks, but this experience really changed my impression of this location. I hope they can improve their customer service and at least show basic respect...

I tend to get the Pink drink here at Algonquin College, so far i've had some pretty good experiences but some can be interesting. the staff are always just so kind to have a quick chat with while ordering and sometimes add little hearts or drawings next to your name

i've had some of my drinks have mistakes and the staff are so understanding and gave me the mistaken drink with no charge while making me my already paid drink.

the environment is very sensory friendly but sometimes it can get a tad bit loud since its in the main entrance building which cannot be fixed obviously.

Over all im extremely satisfied with the experience i've had on my first year of college and im looking forward to coming back...
