I recently visited the Tim Hortons restaurant in Kanata and found it to be a mixed experience. The convenience of having numerous tables close to electrical outlets was a major plus for someone like me who wanted to work on my laptop. It made it easy to plug in and stay productive.
However, I was disappointed to find that the tables were not properly cleaned. There were crumbs and stains scattered across them, despite the presence of several employees working at the time. It seemed like the cleanliness of the tables may have been overlooked, possibly due to the busy drive-through that had a constant stream of customers even at 3 PM on a weekday. It's understandable that the staff may have been prioritizing their attention towards serving the customers in the drive-through, but it would have been nice to see the cleanliness of the seating area given more attention.
Inside the restaurant, it was relatively quiet with only one other patron besides myself. This allowed for a peaceful and calm environment to focus on work. On the bright side, the donuts were fully stocked, which was a welcome sight for any donut lover.
I ordered a large iced coffee and a chocolate cooler, and both drinks were delicious. They were prepared to my satisfaction, and I enjoyed sipping on them while I worked.
In terms of location, the Tim Hortons in Kanata is conveniently situated, making it easily accessible for passersby. If you're in the area and looking for a place to grab a drink or get some work done, it can be a suitable option. Just be aware that the cleanliness of the tables may not always be up to par.
Overall, while there were some cleanliness issues, the convenience of the electrical outlets, fully stocked donuts, and tasty drinks make this Tim Hortons worth considering. It's a decent spot to take a break, refuel, and continue...
Read moreThis is one of the worst Timmies out there. There is no sense of urgency, no professionalism, poor management, cleanliness, and a lack of training.
One, there is always something amiss when it comes to the menu. No eggs, no biscuits, no chili, the list goes on.
Two, there is new staff members working and there is hardly help from senior staff. I feel horrible for the ones trying their best. Then there are the new staff who are rude, slow, and unprofessional who I do not feel sorry for.
Three, there is no soap in the bathroom. They're always filthy. Garbages are not always full but need to be changed more often. Tables need to be cleaned hourly.
Lastly, the horrible staff. When there are customers waiting in line, they need to be acknowledged immediately even a simple "I will be with you in a moment." would do. I watched 3-4 people stand in the drive thru leaned against a counter and then after waiting a few minutes, one person came to take our order. No apologies given. They talk amongst themselves in their language which is okay but they are not friendly and it's very obvious. They use their phones while working and there is never a manager overseeing operations.
This is one of the worst Tim Hortons I've...
Read moreWe have been to this location multiple times and everytime it's like there a billion staff and nothing gets done right. You are over charged on drinks. They are always out of something. They speak "English" yet when they mess up apparently there English isn't good anymore and they can't hear or understand anything. This business is being run down by the employees they staff. When you are rushed at the drive throw not even done ordering and they are pushing you on. Barely anyone in line yet you are being cut off as you are ordering. How is this the standered to a Canadian staple of our lives? It goes to show the state of a business when they're employees actively show they don't care. And there are people out there that will do the job and appreciate it. The experience we had today was absolutely disgusting and I don't imagine the workers care because that's how they treat there people. I wish more internal reconstruction of staffing will be look at because is sad that they just honestly don't even...
