I've been ordering food from Wei's Noodle House, basically on a monthly basis, for over a year. They have. Without a doubt. The best Asian fusion in all of Ottawa (of the ones I have tried), in my opinion. Not once has my food arrived cold, or soggy, or spilled. Their attention to detail; from substitutions/customizations, to how they bag their delivery orders, to the flavours 😋 is literally unparalleled. I will scream from the rooftops "I LOVE WEI'S NOODLE HOUSE!!!" 'cause it is literally that good. My favourite dishes are the Peanut Satay Tofu Soup (!omg so good!) and the Papaya Salad (!!!!!!!!!do not skip this dish!!!!!!). I usually get those two and a main dish that's vegetarian friendly. EDIT: i forgot about the mochi! It's filled with nuts and shredded coconut and is just soo soft, warm and delicious. That reminds me: this place is great for vegetarians and vegans! Everything is clearly labelled veg safe vs. not, and they have a lotttt of options as a vegetarian which makes me very happy. Also they have alternative proteins than just your standard tofu which is appreciated for variety! Portions are very big for me since I get multiple items, so I always have leftovers which is a big plus. By far; if I had to recommend one restaurant in ALL of Ottawa that is a MUST visit, it's this one! I appreciate all the work this wonderful staff does. Thank you for making amaaaazing food that's worth shoutin' about ☺️💕🙏

Honestly I had higher expectations coming here, but my partner and I were left disappointed. What was good/ok: - The spicy udon was delicious and the accompanying sauce was appropriately spicy, but the consistency of the sauce was on the watery side. For a stir fried udon I prefer a thicker sauce that adheres to the noodles better. Although not obvious in the picture, the bottom half of the plate was straight up soupy sauce. - The classic milk tea was not bad. It was better than the milk tea you would purchase at a grocery store, but not nearly as good as a milk tea from a bubble tea store. We got it on their bogo promotion. - The server was friendly. What was bad: - The pork belly shoyu ramen was terrible. The noodles soaked up none of the flavor of the broth, but that is not the noodles fault because the broth itself had no flavor to begin with. The toppings were satisfying...for onion lovers. The pork belly was more akin to an old man than a cut of meat, gray and tough. The only redeeming quality of the entire assembly was the egg, which was creamy and nicely marinated. The whole bowl barely tasted like instant ramen (I would not be surprised if the noodles came from a 99c packet), and did not match up with its ~$20 price tag. I would not recommend coming here for the ramen. There are better noodle spots in Ottawa. However, the other dishes could be decent.

If you judge a book by it's cover... you may just miss the best foodie romance saga of your life. No, not novel, as after stumbling on this hole in the.. basement.. there will be many more chapters to this love-affair saga. I googled 'ramen near me', and based on the star ratings, gave this a shot. At first assumed it was closed, as there's no hit of it in the remax parking lot. I looked again.. and true enough the door was unlocked and it was down a flight of stairs. Sorry, this place is not in any way mobile friendly that I could see. As soon as I'd started down the stairs, my nose let me know I'd likely made a wise choice. The foot was incredible, and I have to agree with the rater who led me, it's the best ramen I've ever had. The place smelled so good, and I had such a hard time choosing, I also ordered their pad thai, which was decent. A very large part of their menu could be vegetarian. Anyway. Just. Yes. Go. Careful where you pack in the back, there's lots of parking, but some spots are reserved, as per the signs. Enjooy! Only complaint, wish they'd change to compostable, bring your own, or some other method of dishes, as the trash was overflowing from the take out containers they serve in, even if you're staying in. I wonder if they'd fill a plate / bowl if you brought one. I bet they would.
