I saw the pictures online and the restaurant looked great, so after some time, I finally decided to come take a visit with my partner. The staff stood out immediately with their very chill and relaxed presence, while also being helpful. The interior of the restaurant is absolutely beautiful and is hard to compare to other coffee shops in the city.
Unfortunately that is all I can say that was great about this coffee shop. The coffee and the food was priced high so my expectations were as such. My partner ordered the breakfast platter which came out looking amazing with beautiful presentation while also being tasty. For myself on the other hand, I ordered the breakfast sandwich which was surprisingly the most expensive item, and it did not match up to its price.
The sandwich arrived at the table wrapped with aluminum foil tightly squeezing all the ingredients into a ball inside of the sandwich, oozing leaky cheese and oil, leaky eggs, etc.
The coffee tasted as good as a normal coffee I could make at home, it had nothing special to it for its price.
In conclusion I can only say that the restaurant was beautiful with great atmosphere but...
Read moreInitially walking in it was SOOOOOOO BUSY and kinda small. There was a decent amount of seating, though people were lowkey just being assholes about it and took up probably four seats for two people. We were about to walk out and go to a different cafe when the barista asked if we were looking for somewhere to sit, we said yes, then she made some of the people the were taking up a bunch of spaces to move so we could have a seat. Customer service 10/10. Vibe and atmosphere, 8.4/10 it lost points here because it was kinda overwhelming at how many people were all shoved together, there wasn’t just individual seats all over, it was kinda just a few lonnnnggggg booths so if you had to get up to pee and were sitting in the middle, everyone had to move. There were outlets for charging, but were placed in awkward places that weren’t overly accessible. I got an almond milk, vanilla cappuccino, idk how to explain it but the espresso tasted spicy? It was weird, but not terrible. I’d give it like a solid 6.7/10. Definitely would go back again but be sure to bring headphones because it’s...
Read moreWent here recently, during their cocktail bar hours. The restaurant was really clean and decorated nicely, with a great atmosphere for a date night or a night out with friends. I enjoyed the fifety- fifety, and the very cultured for drinks, and I would recommend both. Our group also enjoyed the sharing plates. Some highlights were the crab anari, the beef samosas, the prosciutto peppers and the truffle parmesan fries. I would recommend all of these dishes, but note that if you're sharing with a larger group, some dishes come with only 3 pieces so order two (prosciutto peppers). The only thing that I would flag is that the staff were unaware of how to use a gift card, I would recommend that all driphouse staff are trained the same for those types of things (breakfast staff and cocktail hour staff). Also they don't have a designated parking lot, but there is street parking down Somerset and a paid parking lot across the street from them. Overall, a...
